Why Early Access?

“Arkansas 2125 is an RPG game developed by a single developer since July 2024. The game has typical cRPG game functionality that is complex. Some of them are not finished yet. The game is playable. The story is not finished yet. I want to make the game available early because I want to get feedback from players about my game which will help me to fix bugs and glitches. I also want to get the players ideas for other features.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to leave the game in early access for about six months to a year. The time depends on the number of planned changes, which may change during the work”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game is planned to include a complete storyline, additional content, more quests, new endings, and more polished gameplay systems and animations. Some features that are currently unfinished will be fully implemented. The game will also include bug fixes, performance improvements, and changes based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of the game is playable and includes core cRPG systems. The game currently features multiple locations, including 5 villages spread across the map. It includes a dialogue system with NPCs, a quest system, cooking on a stove, a day and night cycle, and a turn-based combat system. One ending is already available. However, some features are still unfinished and the main storyline is not yet complete. Players may encounter bugs and glitches, but the game is actively being developed and improved.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price may increase after Early Access as more content and features are added to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community by collecting feedback from players during Early Access, mainly through Steam Discussions and Reddit. Player feedback will help me fix bugs, improve gameplay systems, and shape future updates. I will also consider player suggestions for new features and content.”

About This Game

Arkansas 2125 is a turn-based post-apocalyptic game set in a ruined future where every decision can mean the difference between survival and death. The player takes on the role of Thomas, a lone wanderer who sets out on a dangerous journey after being encouraged by his girlfriend. His goal is to obtain the legendary Farm Restorer, a device said to be capable of changing the fate of the world.

During his journey, the player explores vast, hostile areas and visits many different villages inhabited by survivors trying to rebuild their lives after the fall of civilization. Each village has its own atmosphere, characters, problems, and unique quests that help uncover the story of the world and its people.

The game places a strong emphasis on atmosphere, narrative, and player choices, which can influence relationships with NPCs and the outcomes of certain events.
