Why Early Access?

“We want to make a great game that is fun, invokes nostalgia, and makes you laugh. We believe that working directly with our community is the best way to achieve that end. Mr. Sauerkraut™ is still in its early stages of development, and we look forward to adding more features. Due to the small size of our development team, collaborating with our players would allow us to receive valuable feedback that ensures optimal quality of the game, as well as some insight on the expectations of seasoned arcade-style gamers. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan to keep the game in Early Access until around December 31, 2026.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The basic functionality of the game will pretty much remain the same. We plan on the full version of the game to possibly include more language support, more accessibility, more levels, customized control mapping, a Mac port, more achievements, more boss battles, more collectables, more skins, more enemies, more NPCs, more obstacles, more game modes, and a more polished story line. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Players are currently able to beat the game by clearing all five levels, collecting all collectables, earning all achievements, and completing one final boss battle. This game still contains a few minor bugs. There are no crashes that we are currently aware of. Due to its small size and simplicity, this game requires very minimal optimization. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are not planning on changing the price of the game when we leave Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players are encouraged to share bug reports, glitches, gameplay feedback, balancing concerns, and feature requests through the Steam Community Hub and discussion forums. Community feedback will help us prioritize our development efforts, improve the game, and shape future content updates. While not every suggestion can be implemented, all constructive feedback will be carefully reviewed and considered as development continues. We plan to release regular updates throughout Early Access to address reported issues, improve existing features, and expand the game based on both our development roadmap and valuable input from the community.”
