Awakening in the blue caves of the afterlife, Lemy remembers nothing but a handful of fleeting memories of her parents.

Standing before the Gates of Judgment, the gatekeeper delivers a grim verdict: Lemy has committed a sin demanding a 1,000-year sentence in Hell. Unwilling to suffer for crimes she cannot recall, Lemy accepts the gatekeeper's alternative offer—to hunt down the monsters currently overrunning the underworld.
