About This Game

It's 1980s Detroit. You've just been hired as a proofreader at the local newspaper - and your job is to catch every typo, every misprint, and every mistake before it goes to press.

Crossarium turns crossword-solving into a job with real consequences. Every shift is a new set of puzzles: solve them to prove you're sharp enough to keep your desk, then read through the day's articles and decide - column by column - whether they're clean enough to print, or need to go back for a rewrite. Your editor, Edna, is watching you. So is your paycheck.

But there is a coworker, who makes mistakes on purpose. Somebody at the paper has been slipping errors into print - and the clues are starting to add up: stray initials where they shouldn't be, a rumor about a rival firm, a coworker who won't quite look you in the eye. You get two questions a day to ask your colleagues, Ervin and Lucy, and five days to work out who's guilty before you have to make the call. Get it wrong, and you might end up protecting the real saboteur - or losing your job for someone else's mistake.

Three difficulty modes. Standard, Normal, and Hard change how much room for error you get - right down to how clearly you can even see the letters.

A five-day mystery told through puzzles. Every crossword you solve, every error you catch, moves the story forward.

Choices with consequences. How many mistakes slip past you and who you accuse both shape which of several endings you reach.

Memory, a bonus mini-game. Take a breather between shifts with its own pattern-recall challenges.

A shift-by-shift economy. Spend what you earn on boosts like double coins, timer freezes, and forgiven mistakes when a shift gets rough.

Sharpen your eye. Watch your back. In this newsroom, not every mistake is an accident.
