About This Game

Uncover a new vast land filled with secrets, monsters, and ancient myth in BEYOND THE MOUNTAINS II, a top-down action RPG that plays as a direct sequel to 2023's Beyond the Mountains. Stranded in a foreign land and armed only with your wits and curiosity, you will collect items, unlock secrets, and fight ferocious monsters.

Decades ago, the Oracle was sealed inside Zanarik's evil Lair. Will you be able to travel Beyond the Mountains to rescue him?

A STRANGE LAND

As Wendy, you will uncover an entire continent full of secrets as you attempt to save the island of Kearbis from unthinkable destruction.

EVERY INCH UNCOVERED

Use every item you can find in dungeons, caves, and the large handcrafted overworld to map an entire continent full of mystery and intrigue. With dozens of enemy types and hundreds of puzzles, you will have to use every trick in your arsenal to stop evil forces and save the island of Kearbis. This island is much larger than Evalon, and it offers more secrets to those patient enough to search every nook and cranny.

A COLORFUL CAST

The world of Kearbis is stocked with colorful and crazy characters, each with their own unique desires and motivations. It never hurts to talk to each person (or tortoise) you meet!

WHAT LIES BEYOND THE MOUNTAINS?

• Explore a handcrafted overworld filled with intricate caves, tunnels, hidden paths, and overarching dungeons

• Fight multiple enemies and bosses using a variety of weapons and items you will collect on your journey

• Explore beaches, forests, deserts, swamps, and a city of clowns

• Fight your way through a gem mine, circus, ancient temple, and much, much more

• Take a break from the action with fishing, bug collecting, foraging, and minigames

• Get into shenanigans with a goofy trading sequence

• Immerse yourself with an original soundtrack of over 50 songs and hundreds of unique sprites and tiles

• This game should be played after Beyond the Mountains. It is a direct sequel.

BEYOND THE MOUNTAINS II is a passion product of over a decade. I have lived with these characters and concepts for many years, and am excited to finally share the sequel with you! Be sure to play (and finish!) the original before giving this one a try!
