About This Game

Crazy Localization is an exploration-based interactive story adventure game themed around game localization.

When a game project’s release is suddenly moved up,
Fanfan, a translator at a localization company, is thrown into a world-class crisis.

And then, out of nowhere,
a mysterious old man literally drops her into the RPG world of the very project she’s been working on—!

As this game world descends into chaos,
Fanfan fights back with the one weapon she knows best: her localization expertise.

A world riddled with bugs, misplaced lines, and settings on the verge of collapse...
The only one who can save it all is her.

Let’s go.

Who says translators are only there to take the blame?
Why can’t they be the heroes who save the world too?

Within the game’s setting, players enter a world thrown into chaos by localization errors.

The RPG universe is filled with mistranslated dialogue, semantic inconsistencies, and broken narrative logic, leaving the entire world on the verge of collapse. As a “localization translator,” players must correct the text and gradually restore the world to a functioning state…?

【Gameplay】

At its core, Crazy Localization is built around “localization decision-making” as its main mechanic.

Players must analyze context, character relationships, and intended meaning to select and adjust target text accordingly. No need to worry about foreign languages—even within your native language, there are always clues waiting to be uncovered.

At the same time, players can also use special methods to resolve issues caused by “human factors.”

Different approaches will influence how the story unfolds and may even alter the state and direction of the game world itself. By combining language comprehension with interactive storytelling, the game delivers a distinctive and engaging experience.

【Characters】

In this world, you’ll also meet a variety of companions traveling alongside you (or… sort of alongside you).

A clueless rookie who can’t—or won’t—empathize with their seniors, a band-obsessed LQA specialist, a reliable project manager, an unreliable old man, and a broke “hero” who is technically a time traveler into this RPG world…

Hopefully, they’ll bring you both laughter and a sense of connection.

【About the Development Team】

Hello everyone! We are the development team behind Crazy Localization, a group called “Misnomer”.

Our team consists of three members, and we’re dedicated to turning our everyday work frustrations—let’s call them “experience”—into game development inspiration.

Crazy Localization is our very first title. Through this chaotic adventure, we hope to introduce the concept of “game localization,” along with the many passionate bittersweet realities “beliefs and ideals” of all the people behind it, to players who might just be curious enough to understand them in today’s tech-heavy world.

We’ll be making full use of our spare time—and occasional “work survival breaks”—to bring you a fun and memorable journey. Your support means a lot to us!

Feel free to reach out via our social media and share the strange, funny, or chaotic stories you’ve encountered in localization. Who knows? They might just become “real events” inside this RPG world.

And finally… please consider adding us to your wishlist!
