In a kingdom where power is bound to cards, only those who master their deck can shape the fate of the land. Explore shadowed dungeons, defeat monstrous foes and ruthless bosses, and hunt for the cards you need to shape your ultimate deck. Some cards grant real-world abilities — turning into weapons and tools as you explore, such as swords, bows, a grappling hook, a hammer, and more— while others strengthen your deck for high-stakes duels against foes. Only by becoming the greatest card player in the land can you hope to challenge the spreading corruption of The Old King.

TYPES OF CARDS

Throughout the game adventurers can find Card Packs, which will have a random batch of cards inside them ranging from Monster Cards, Action Cards, and Support Cards. Monster cards fight for you in duels, and the more the you play with the same cards the stronger they can get. Action Cards can be used in duels to give you that fighting edge, but also can be used in the Overworld as your Active Items. You can mix and match up three (3) Action Cards at one time in the Overworld to deal powerful combos and devastating augmentations. Such as using the Bow Card, with the Eternal Fire Arrow card to use flaming fire arrows in overworld combat. You can even then use a third card to augment the fire arrow into a scatter shot, or a long range sniper-like arrow. There are dozens of possible augmentations and combinations making combat completely up to your creativity! Support Cards work in duels to better bolster your team and deliver a win. Both Support Cards and Cards can be leveled up in the Overworld by combining three of a kind.

BUILD YOUR DECK

Collect cards from packs you find in dungeons, defeating bosses, and completing the game story. Use those cards to build decks! The Duelists, fellow Card Players, you'll encounter throughout the game seek to battle and defeat you in Card Duels. Some of them are friendly, just seeking good competition and an opportunity to prove themselves. While others are malevolent, and seek to destroy you or even serve The Old King. Be on your guard and always read to DUEL!

The more you battle with the same monster cards, the stronger they'll get! This often increase their max HP, Damage output, or abilities! 

OVERWORLD CREATURES

Throughout the Overworld Adventurers will come across creatures poisoned by the growing darkness of The Old King. Fight them off with your choice Action Card Weapons like the Blade, the Bow, The Hammer, and many others, and come up with augmentations to best suit your combat needs. Bosses in the Overworld will require you to adapt your playstyle and use creative combinations of cards to take them down. 

But the harder the boss, the better the loot!

GAME FEATURES 

Explore a large Overworld with several dungeons, bosses, and challenging duelists. Along with that, you'll be able to enjoy features like: 

• Deck Building

• Card Trading 

• CO-OP (That's right, run around with your pals if want!)

• Card Leveling (Monster Cards level through duels, Action and Support Cards you can level up by colleting three (3) of a kind) 

• Story Mode (There's a full narrative to this game!) 

• Augmentation Combat (Mix up to three (3) cards at a time to come up with wild combos for combat in the Overworld.)

As a small indie dev without a budget, AI "Assistance" was used to help polish some of the art assets, though all art, even AI Assisted, still required me to spend hours on them and I poured countless days (over 450 hours) into photoshop to get each piece of art how I wanted it. In the future, I look forward to having a budget to work with artist more talented than myself to better define this game's style and presence!
