Miksi Early Access?

Fossil Bound is being developed as a discovery-focused excavation and museum management game. Early Access allows us to build the game alongside the community while expanding the number of fossils, excavation sites, and museum features.

The core excavation gameplay is already playable, but we want to use player feedback to refine the digging mechanics, pacing of discoveries, and progression systems. Community input will help shape new fossils, tools, and museum features as the game grows.

Early Access lets players participate in the evolution of Fossil Bound while helping us improve the experience and expand the world of prehistoric discovery.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We currently expect Fossil Bound to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months.

During this time we plan to expand the number of dig sites, fossils, museum features, and gameplay systems while continuing to refine the core excavation mechanics based on player feedback.

The Early Access version focuses on the core gameplay loop of excavation, discovery, and fossil collection.

As development continues, we plan to expand the scope of the game with additional features such as:

• More dinosaur species and fossil types
• New excavation locations and environments
• Expanded museum management and exhibition systems
• Additional excavation tools and upgrades
• Improved fossil discovery events and animations
• More educational fossil information and discoveries
• General gameplay improvements and polish

Our goal is to grow Fossil Bound into a larger world of fossil discovery while keeping the relaxing and curiosity-driven gameplay at the center of the experience.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The Early Access version already includes the core excavation experience.

Players can:

• Explore excavation sites
• Remove dirt tiles to uncover fossilized skeletons
• Discover dinosaur fossils
• Collect fossils and view their information
• Begin building a fossil collection

The game currently includes several dinosaur species and a foundational museum system where discovered fossils can be displayed.

While the core gameplay loop is playable and functional, additional content, species, locations, and gameplay systems will continue to be added throughout Early Access.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We plan to gradually increase the price of Fossil Bound as new content, features, and systems are added during Early Access.

Players who join during Early Access will be able to experience the game as it evolves and expands over time.

We plan to gather player feedback through Steam Discussions and community updates to help guide improvements to gameplay systems, excavation mechanics, and future content.
