The year is 1737. Kamchatka. The edge of the world.

Young explorer Stepan Krasheninnikov receives his first independent assignment from the Academy of Sciences: to study a distant and almost unknown peninsula.

But the journey begins with disaster. The ship is wrecked off the coast of Kamchatka, and a scientific expedition turns into a struggle for survival — and later, into a dangerous political game where human lives and the future of the entire region are at stake.

Survive in a Harsh Land

Kamchatka is beautiful, but merciless. Cold, wild animals, and dangerous routes will constantly test Stepan’s endurance.

Step Into the World of Spirits

Kamchatka is a land not only of people, but also of ancient powers. In the mist, near volcanoes, and deep within remote valleys dwell spirits that the local peoples regard with both respect and fear.

Some spirits may help a traveler. Others may destroy him. Learn to read the signs, observe rituals, and distinguish allies from deadly threats.

Build Your Own Dog Sled Team

A dog sled is the most important tool of a northern explorer.

Choose dogs that fit your style of travel, upgrade your equipment, and improve the speed, carrying capacity, and endurance of your sled team.

Become the Cartographer of Kamchatka

Stepan Krasheninnikov’s main goal is to create a detailed map of the peninsula. Explore new lands, mark rivers, volcanoes, settlements, mountain passes, and dangerous parts of the route.

Describe animals, plants, daily life, traditions, and rituals of the local peoples. Every entry brings Stepan closer to the work that will one day make his name known.

Preserve Peace Between Peoples

Conflict is growing in Kamchatka. Imperial settlers, local tribes, military interests, and personal ambitions become tangled in a dangerous web.

Stepan finds himself at the center of a conspiracy and nearly becomes its victim. To prevent bloodshed, he must uncover the intrigue, find those who are fueling the war, and prove that words can be stronger than weapons.
