Fourth & Goal combines roguelite deckbuilding with American football. Make cuts, additions, and upgrades to your team through the Gauntlet Challenge!

CORE GAMEPLAY LOOP

Each play, both teams select a play and up to 1 modifier for the play. After the snap, these plays resolve against each other, taking into account play strength, scheme advantages/disadvantages, Coach/Player perks, and more.

AFTER THE SNAP

Watch the calculation play out in real time, as the bar wavers, and players on-field play out the play.

GAUNTLET MODE - ROGUELIKE CHALLENGE

In Gauntlet mode, you play offense only with increasingly difficult targets and opponents. Improve your deck via adding, removing and upgrading cards. 

Build powerful synergies between coach, player, modifier, and relic bonuses!

SEASON MODE - PLAY BOTH SIDES

Build and manage 2 separate decks, offense and defense. 

COACHES AND STAR PLAYERS

Coaches and Star Players each have their own bonus effects that will change the way snaps play out.

Generative AI (Claude) was used as a development aid for writing game code and initial drafting in-game text content (card descriptions, coach/star player flavor text). All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and curated by a human developer before inclusion.

All visual elements (field, cards, icons, UI) are drawn programmatically by game code, not from pre-rendered image assets. The code that generates these visuals was written with AI assistance. No standalone AI-generated artwork, image files, or pre-rendered assets are included in the game.
