Sylph is a first-person spaceflight simulation with realistic orbital mechanics, Newtonian physics, and ship systems management set in a star system orbiting a black hole. Explore one of the most detailed and accurate black hole simulations ever rendered in real time in interactive software. Schwarzchild geodesic ray tracing, gravity funnel, event horizon, and what lies beyond. Built on the Sylph engine, a bespoke engine built from the ground up with no boundaries or speed limits.

  • Ship systems management with startup sequences, electrical load management, pump and valve operation. All independently modeled and derived from real physics. Failures are cascading and emerge from the simulation state.

  • Fully modeled closed loop expander-cycle bipropellant combustion. Rotational inertia, turbopump characteristic curves with flow-dependent degradation, cavitation modeling, turbulent flow losses, boost pump to turbopump series staging, line charge/drain dynamics, heat soak, regenerative cooling.

  • Independent lower thrust system with forward and aft modes. 12 individual RCS thrusters with rotation and linear control.

  • 8 Autopilot programs operating through the physical thruster simulation. 

  • Electrical simulation with state-of-charge and voltage sag, two independent generators, circuit breakers, power draw, proportional load sharing, and overload trip.
