An antique computer has granted you the ability to summon cyber demons. Seeking power from demons is like dancing on a tightrope; from Lawful Good to Chaotic Evil, how will you choose? Will you collude with the wealthy, politicians, stars, and artists, or change this decadent society?

Tietoa pelistä

This is an improvised creature collector + resource-management deckbuilder CRPG I’m working on.

Recent news has been way too depressing, so I want to create something bright to satisfy my fantasies.

I'm talking plots like "finding out your college classmate is actually a Mafia boss" (Anyone has ideas?)

Worldview (Tentative)

By 2050, the world has plunged into an unprecedented crisis, with the Human Development Index in constant decline. By a stroke of luck (or misfortune), you gain the ability to summon demons, just like the "big shots" who ruined the world in the first place. Among the contractors, some suffer tragedies because of these entities, while others use their power to dominate society.

Your Identity (Tentative)

A freshman medical student. In the year 2000, the Millennium War broke out. Most of the world turned into a wasteland, but New Sodom survived. New Sodom is a city-sized island. Its citizens call themselves the "White-Winged," referring to humans with the wings of the Holy Covenant, the sole beacon of hope during the Great Regression.

About Demons (Tentative)

Cyber Demons cannot manifest gold coins out of thin air. Instead, they manipulate the flow of events. Essentially, human fate and luck. Humans can only perceive them through electronic devices. They seem to favor those capable of achieving great (or terrible) things.

  • Lucifuge Rofocale A demon from the famous grimoire The Grand Grimoire (The Red Dragon). She contracts with you through an antique computer. Despite being the Prime Minister of Hell who should possess infinite wealth, she demands cash from you in exchange for the power to decide life and death. Simply summoning her costs 66 years of your lifespan, meaning your life is already a flickering candle in the wind at the start of the game.

  • Azazel The Chief of the Wilderness and the Lost, residing within an ECG Monitor. For every six heartbeats, he (it?) claims $1 worth of your assets (including non-cash property and proxy holdings are invalid). He can drive a target into temporary madness and will manipulate causality to protect his contractor. However, if the contractor’s assets hit zero, they will go insane, and Azazel leaves.

  • Cera Resembling an oilfish, Cera ensures the contractor always escapes danger. Your freedom will never be restricted, and your health remains perfect. If you're starving in the wild, you'll find food; if you fall into water, you'll float; you might even find half-used tubes of toothpaste or soap. The catch? You can never own any property, and this "curse of poverty" affects those close to you as well.

(Not quite sure if the game system can handle such an expansive setting, so things are subject to change. I might also delete parts of the intro later if I find them to be too spoilery)
