About This Software

No subscriptions, no daily limits and no accounts.

Stop playing in silence

You get a Russian teammate who never stops talking. Your raid group is Japanese. You want to play with a Korean streamer. Until now, you either knew the language or you played in silence.

With Game Chat Translator you speak your language and they hear theirs, in your own voice. And what they say reaches you translated instantly, in a text window over the game or as voice.

Over the chat, and in private

Drag the translated text window over the game chat and lock it with F10: it covers the messages, leaves the tabs and the input box in view, and every name shows its language. Type in your language in the game's own chat box, in any channel: general, party, guild or whisper. Press Page Down, GCT swaps it for the translation and you send it with Enter. Want to reply to someone in private? Click their name: GCT opens the chat with /w and that name, and whatever you type reaches them in their language.

Speak and be understood

Hold F8, say whatever you want in your language and let go. Your sentence goes out translated in voice chat, typed into the game chat, or both. Without leaving the game, without copy and paste, without stopping the match.

The game chat, already translated

With cloned chat, GCT covers the chat, or a dialogue's subtitles, with an identical copy: same background, same font, same spot, but in your language. Mark the area once, pick its style and you're done.

Can't talk? Type or pick a phrase

Press Insert, type in your language and hit Enter: GCT sends it translated and puts you back in the game. Or hold the key below Esc, aim at a quick phrase with your mouse and let go: "Be careful!", "Heal me, please", "Good game"… instantly and in the other player's language, by voice or in chat. It comes with 8 phrases handwritten in 10 languages, and you can add your own, each with its own key if you like. Already typed it in the game chat? Press Page Down and GCT swaps it for its translation before you send it. And the phrase menu works with your controller's stick too.

One language, one key

Shift+F and you reply in French; Shift+J, in Japanese. Every language has its own shortcut, and you can change them. Hold it down and the phrase menu opens in that language.

Your voice, not a robot's

Clone your voice on your own PC, for free, with an NVIDIA graphics card, and your teammates will hear you. For the best quality, connect your ElevenLabs account, optional and paid separately, and speak in your voice in all 18 languages. And each voice with its own ElevenLabs version: v3, more expressive, for a character or a monster; v4, to sound real.

Discord without barriers

On Discord they only hear you translated: your microphone becomes your voice in their language. And if you both use GCT, each of you only hears the other's translation. Two people who don't share a language, talking as if they did.

Catch everything

  • The game's text chat, translated the moment someone types.

  • The game's voice, proximity chat included.

  • Discord voice, separately.

  • A translated text window over the game that never steals focus or blocks clicks, with the size, position and font size you choose.

  • Missed it? Press Home and GCT says the last message out loud again.

  • If you only listen to the translations, whatever they say in your language still reaches you as is.

  • Dimitri [RU]: each name shows its language, so you know which one to reply in.

  • A soft alert when someone says your name.

  • Names, slang and acronyms that stay untranslated, and a profanity filter if you want it.

  • A history of everything that was said, only on your PC and only if you turn it on.

Translate what you can't hear, too

Press End and mark an untranslated menu, sign or quest: you see it translated on top. Copy text from a forum, Discord or a wiki, press Page Up and the translation pops up next to your mouse.

For your stream

GCT reads your Twitch channel's chat and translates it in the text window, or by voice if you like, with the name of whoever wrote it. No account, read-only: it never writes in your chat, and it filters out bots and emote-only messages. And with the OBS source, your viewers see GCT's translated text on stream too.

Built to keep you out of trouble

Every game gets its own profile. In games with anti-cheat, GCT doesn't press a single key: it copies the translation and you paste it. GCT never touches or modifies the game process. When you open a game, GCT switches to its profile on its own. A wizard sets it up with a few questions, and you can share it with a friend as a file.

Not just for gaming

A documentary in another language, a video, a live class. If it plays in a window on your PC, GCT translates it. Zoom, Teams and Google Meet too, sentence by sentence.

18 languages

Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Turkish, Dutch, Czech, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hindi. Interface in 10 languages and free voices included.

Before you buy

  • GCT needs to read the global keyboard and capture the screen to work.

  • The game must run in borderless window mode.

  • If the game runs as administrator, GCT must too.

  • To send your voice to voice chat you need VB-Cable, a free program that adds a virtual microphone to Windows (no physical cable needed). The app guides you.

  • The chat reader reads one alphabet per profile.

  • In games with anti-cheat, a simulated key press could get you flagged: that's what copy mode is for.

  • Cloning your voice on your PC needs an NVIDIA GPU with 6 GB of VRAM. ElevenLabs doesn't: it runs in the cloud.

  • The free natural voice speaks Spanish, English, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese. For other languages, use the Windows voice or ElevenLabs.
