God of Chaos is an interactive dark fantasy novel by Brennan Gilpatrick. It is entirely text-based,  250,000 words and hundreds of choices, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Once you were known as the Sovereign of Lies. The Master of the Fey. The God of Chaos. An outcast even among your fellow gods, no one minded when an Alchemist order sealed you in a prison of pure darkness, away from the land of Vildmara.

After a millennium, you have finally broken free - but Vildmara is nothing like the home you left.

In your absence, the Alchemists went on to murder the other gods, conquer all mortal kingdoms, and force humanity into submission. Undead soldiers patrol the streets. The Fey have been hunted to near-extinction. A sentient machine rules supreme. They even outlawed the name 'Vildmara'; everyone lives in the Iron Shelter now.

Desperate to overthrow the Alchemists, a tribe of druids has freed you from the void. You are a shapeshifting, curse-slinging, charming-as-hell deity back on the scene, and in a land ruled by tyrannical order, chaos has the power to move mountains.

Will you aid the druids in their quest to heal the natural world, seeking out a mystical artifact that can revive the land itself? Or will you regain the trust of your ancient allies the Fey, and rally them to your cause? Or maybe you’ll join the Rustmongers, and help them tear the Iron Shelter down and watch everything burn.

• Play as male, female, or nonbinary; gay, straight, bisexual, monogamous, polyamorous, asexual, and/or aromantic. 

• Choose your form: an infernal imp, a strikingly beautiful human, a shadowy elf, or a devious primate.

• Romance or befriend a renegade druid, an anarchist mercenary, or the descendant of your most hated enemy

• Take command of the machine that rules the Iron Shelter, dismantle it safely, or sabotage it to plunge civilization into madness.

• Show mercy to the descendants of your captors, or subject them to sweet, twisted revenge.

• Hypnotize a masquerade ball. Command an undead legion. Ride a freakin' Jabberwocky!

The heavens sit vacant: the world is yours to shape.
