Why Early Access?

“We believe Space Tenacity has interesting core mechanics but still requires refinement and additional content to be considered a full release. Our goal for Early Access is to obtain feedback from a broader audience that will shape these improvements to the game and facilitate growth. ”

“Hoping to be out of early access after about one year. As a solo/hobby developer with a full time job and a family it's hard to find time for development but it's a project that I'm 100% committed to finishing. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More levels, more boss battles, more enemies, better music, improved UI, achievements, possibly new mechanics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable as a 2D side scrolling space adventure although with limited content (enemy types, levels). Currently using placeholder art assets and low fidelity music that we're planning on improving. See the About This section for more details on game mechanics and features. ”

“We'll be checking reviews in the Steam store page and support emails. Requests for bug fixes and new features are welcome and will be considered for implementation alongside an existing roadmap. ”

About This Game

Space Tenacity!

Space Tenacity is a side scrolling 2D space adventure inspired by classics that challenges you to guide our anonymous protagonist through dangerous enemies and asteroids without conventional weaponry. Instead of guns, use tractor beam and force field technology to turn aggressive space bugs against each other. Surrounded? Engage the phase shifter to escape sticky situations.

Movement

Use propulsion based character movement combined with nuanced interaction mechanics to defeat aggressive enemies and dodge environmental obstacles. 

Unique art and level design

All artwork and level design done by hand with no procedural generation to create a cohesive, distinctive art style. 

Original music

Minimalist acoustic guitar score to set the vibes.
