What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Rectangle Jump is being released in Early Access so players can experience the game while I finish and polish the remaining content. The game already has a playable foundation, including the first 10 levels, all skins, Easy Mode, achievements, and a basic tutorial.

My main goal during Early Access is to use player feedback to find bugs, balancing problems, confusing mechanics, and areas that could be improved before the full release. I will continue developing the game throughout Early Access and plan to complete the remaining levels, polish the existing content, and make improvements based on what I learn from players.

I expect Early Access to last approximately one month, although this may change depending on development and feedback. I will prioritize completing the game properly rather than rushing the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Rectangle Jump to be in Early Access for approximately one month. During this time, I will be finishing and polishing the remaining main levels and extra levels, fixing bugs, balancing the game, and making improvements based on player feedback.

The exact length may change if additional development or testing is needed. I would rather extend Early Access if necessary than release the full version before it is ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include:

6 more main levels
6 more extra levels
6 more in-game achievements (not Steam achievements)
Fixes and improvements based on Early Access feedback
More polished designs, balancing, and other improvements”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the first 10 levels, all skins, 6 in-game achievements, Easy Mode, and a basic tutorial.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The price will stay the same when the full version releases. Early Access just lets you play the game sooner, see behind-the-scenes content, and use some hidden developer "hacks."”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an important part of the Early Access development process. I will read and respond to player feedback about bugs, glitches, level design, difficulty, balancing, controls, and other problems they encounter.

When players suggest changes, I will consider them based on whether they improve the overall game. Feedback may directly influence level design, difficulty, balancing, quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and other aspects of the game.

I will also use player reports to identify problems that I may not encounter during my own testing. I plan to communicate with players through the Steam Community discussions and other community channels, provide updates on development, and use the feedback gathered during Early Access to help determine what should be improved before the full release.”

About This Game

Rectangle Jump, an Indie game! is a challenging physics based platformer with puzzles, story, over 64 already unlocked skins, and a variety of mechanics, where you play as (you could probably already guess) a RECTANGLE! that reacts realistically to surfaces and gravity, like you are actually playing as a rectangle!

Extra Info about whats NOT in the game:

This game has been worked on for over 4 years! (Not the entirety of those 4 years obviously) and or longer if you count the first version of the game existing all the way when I was in middle school,

when I was first learning about "coding" There was this after school program that had kids make games on this site called FlowLab (What This version of the game is made in) Which in all honesty, FlowLab is not that great, you can only make games in visual block coding and you have to pay $9 a month which you should just learn how to code in gamemaker or godot for FREE!
