About This Game

The Dumbgeon is a wave-based survival roguelike where you fight endless hordes of enemies, build increasingly unhinged item combinations, and ask yourself whether equipping both The Blender and Robe of Alone Time is a tactical decision or a cry for help.

Spoiler: It's completely up to you.

Six champions, each with a unique passive that changes how you build your kit... and how you die trying.

Sir Lionel: A completely out-of-touch knight whose Blazing Soul aura scorches everything nearby. Stand close and let the fire do the work.

Aron: The overconfident, know-it-all that is actually super handy with a bow, launching two extra projectiles with attack-based weapons.

Seekin: A wildcard wizard who everyone else seems to be on their toes around. He gets stronger with every magic weapon equipped. Commit to the bit. Go full spellbook.

Kromwell: Overqualified for every job he's ever had, and every kill he racks up proves it. Unlock him by proving your own competence first.

Lara: Builds charges from damage dealt, then detonates an Inferno Burst ring that rattles the whole room. Seemingly the only one with ten toes in.

The Goblin Pirate: Name unknown. Biography unknown. He likes gold though, and seems to be stronger with it. A walking economic philosophy.

Over 50 items spread across three tiers. Craft T1 gear into T2. Combine T2 and T1 into T3. Stack stats, unlock passives, and discover which combinations the game definitely didn't intend.

Items have names like Herman's Femur Bone, Big Bad Bow, and Robe of Alone Time. The names are not the weird part. The weird part is how they interact.

14 Tier 1 items: the foundation of every run

18 Tier 2 crafted upgrades: where builds start taking shape

15 Tier 3 endgame weapons: where things get out of hand

11 Trinkets/Relics: passive bonuses picked before the run even starts

Upon leveling up, pick augments that twist your build in new directions. Static Charge turns every 10th hit into a lightning hammer. Pinpoint makes every 8th projectile pierce through entire crowds. Second Wind saves you when you probably deserved to die. 39 augments. Champion-specific options that interact with your passive. Three rarities. Every run feels different.

Rubies earned from each run, win or lose and are completely based on PERFORMANCE, fund permanent upgrades: more starting gold, higher crit chance, bonus magic power, cheaper augment rerolls. Progress compounds.

Some champions and items are locked behind in-run challenges: deal enough magic damage, land enough crits, survive long enough. The game tracks everything! Stat nerds, you're welcome.

Six champions with distinct passives that define your playstyle

58 items across three crafting tiers with named recipes

39 augments with champion-specific variants

11 heirlooms chosen before each run

Two maps: The Crypt and The Lava Chamber

Story mode (10–20 waves) where you'll learn the champion's stories through cinematics and Endless mode with infinite scaling

Meta-progression via Rubies: permanent upgrades that survive run failures

Per-run stat tracking and challenge-based unlocks

Absurdist item names. Unironically good loot design underneath them.

We will continue working on this, adding new champions, items, augments, maps and enemies. We hope you'll give it a try!
