In The Hunter Files: Case One, you step into the world of Nate Hunter, a private detective stuck in a routine of minor jobs and overdue bills. What begins as a seemingly ordinary assignment slowly takes a turn, as a simple case of discreet surveillance develops into a missing person investigation.

You explore a game focused on conversations, puzzle solving, and classic detective work. Along the way, you piece together clues, solve occasionally absurd puzzles, and uncover an unexpected mystery, with a touch of humor woven naturally into the experience.

As the investigation progresses, the game opens up to new locations and longer conversations, slowly widening the scope of the case. What starts as familiar detective work begins to move beyond Nate’s everyday routine, leading into a new setting that changes the direction of the investigation.

The Hunter Files: Case One focuses on atmosphere, characters, and a carefully paced mystery. It is the beginning of a larger story, designed to stand on its own while laying the groundwork for what comes next.

Generative AI tools were used during development in a supportive role. This includes assistance with grammar checks and text refinement, as well as helping translate original German game content into clear and natural English.

In addition, AI assisted image generation was used as a basis for selected HUD elements and inventory item visuals, as well as for a small number of in game visual assets. AI assisted tools were used during the creation of the game’s background music. All AI generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated manually to ensure consistency with the game’s art style and overall presentation.
