Why Early Access?

“As a solo developer/small team, my goal is to create a truly immersive VR RPG where every player feels physically unique. With 10 different races that utilize a custom world-scaling system, balancing the gameplay for a Pixie (who sees the world as massive) versus a Half-Giant (who sees NPCs as tiny) is a massive technical undertaking.

We are bringing PolyGuild Adventurers to Early Access because a multiplayer RPG of this scale needs real-world testing. We need player feedback to fine-tune the elemental affinities, balance the 7 distinct classes, and ensure the VR flight mechanics feel natural. By joining us now, you are directly helping us decide which advanced classes and features come next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As a solo developer, my primary focus is quality over speed. I anticipate the game will remain in Early Access for at least a year, though this timeline may shift depending on community feedback and the complexity of new features. I am committed to seeing this project through to a full 1.0 release, taking the time necessary to ensure the multiplayer and VR mechanics are polished and fun.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of PolyGuild Adventurers is intended to be a more refined and expanded version of the current exploration experience. As a solo developer, I plan to let the game evolve based on what players enjoy most during the Early Access phase.

Potential areas of expansion include:

More Variety: I aim to add additional biomes, dungeons, and rare monsters to make exploration more rewarding.

Class Evolution: While the 7 basic classes are the core focus, I hope to introduce advanced specializations or more unique skills for each.

World Depth: I plan to add more interactive elements to the world, such as deeper crafting recipes and more guild-related activities.

Technical Polish: The final version will focus heavily on optimization for various PCVR setups, refined UI, and more immersive haptic feedback.

Note: Features may be added, removed, or reworked entirely based on technical feasibility and player feedback. The goal is a fun, stable adventure, not a fixed set of promises.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version features a fully playable Multiplayer Adventure Mode, Wave Survival, and Infinite Dungeons.

All 10 races and 7 basic classes (up to Level 30) are implemented.

The World-Scaling system and Pixie flight are fully functional.

Core systems like crafting, pets, elemental affinities, and the Adventurer's Guild Rank system are live.

Please Note: Save wipes may occur during this phase as we update the core engine logic.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want to reward our earliest supporters. The game is currently priced lower to reflect its 'Work in Progress' state. As we add more content and move toward a 1.0 release, the price will increase to reflect the expanded scope and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe in a developer-led approach where the core vision of PolyGuild Adventurers remains firm. We plan to involve the community by using their feedback primarily to identify friction points, such as balance issues, bugs, and clarity in mechanics. While we welcome all creative suggestions on Discord and Steam, our priority is ensuring that every addition aligns with our original design goals. We will keep players informed via dev logs on why certain features are chosen and others are not, ensuring the final game stays true to its unique identity.”
