About This Game

Donovan's Demise is an action roguelike with mouse-driven bullet hell combat. The ultimate goal is to defeat King Donovan. However, you can't enter his castle until you have acquired all three keys to open its door.

Each key is held by one of his subjects located in various parts of Hydralia.

Your run starts in the Hydralia field. There is a set amount of encounters before facing the zone boss holding one of the castle keys. Before each encounter, you can choose which enemy to face between three randomly selected ones from the area. Each enemy is unique and has unique battle patterns. 

After defeating an enemy you'll acquire a currency called R. How much you receive depends on the enemy and how many hits you took. A battle resulting in a no-hit will grant you the max R reward for this enemy. Before your next encounter, you can use your currency to restore your health or level up one of two stats : attack power or base health.

Once the current zone boss is defeated, the next zones you'll visit to acquire the remaining keys are randomly determined. Each zone has its own set of enemies, making each run feel fresh.

Once all keys are acquired, you can access Donovan's castle where you'll encounter even more challenging foes. If you survive, you'll eventually face Donovan. Hydralia's fate rests on your shoulders. March ahead, hero!
