Team Composition

Tripwire includes 15 characters each having a unique card deck, with a particular strategy that can be unlocked upon reaching certain achievements or progressing in game.

You choose three characters to take with you in each run, that comes with their own starting equipment and card deck.

Each character is distinct - characters are great at dealing damage, but need protection. Others specialize in dealing statuses that slow down your enemies, and might be great for boss fights - but not for fights with many enemies. Then again, the playstyle will depend on the deck you build, and the equipment you use. 

Power Output Gear (POG)

POGs are equippable modules that each character can have, changing how their card skills are executed. Each character can equip a main POG and an enhancer POG. The main POGs can do anything from make your shield spells crit and double their shield value to improving DoTs that the character throws out. Or maybe it can have some random effects too!. 

The Enhancer POG is an outer module that impacts whatever the main POG does. Enhancers can amplify the main module's effects, trigger it multiple times, change probabilities of effects triggering, impact your deck and much more. There are over 150 equipment combinations to play with.

Try different combinations to make an unstoppable build, whether its defensive, volatile or consistent damage.

If you like deck builders where the “correct” play isn’t always obvious, where loadouts matter as much as cards, and where your build tells a story by the end of the run, you’ll feel at home here.

Changing Maps

Explore 5 acts with deadly foes. Maps are procedurally generated and change with every run and include

enemies that like to try different strategies to stop you - or might even join your side temporarily. 

An Awakening

Its 2049, most humans are no longer a necessity, but are allowed to exist under a ruling corporate regime. Your goal is to stop rich world rulers from controlling the world and to gather a team of rebels to take them down. How you do it, is up to you.
