What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Resident’s Battle: A Stranger’s Tale is in Early Access because I want to build it with player feedback while the core game grows in content, balance, and polish. The current version is playable and represents the foundation (combat encounters, progression, UI systems, and early story content), and Early Access gives me room to iterate quickly based on what players enjoy most, what feels confusing, and what needs better pacing. I’m committed to continuing development through regular patches focused on stability, new content drops, and quality-of-life improvements, while keeping players informed through Steam updates and patch notes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Hopefully only 3-4 years, I'm a solo developer, actually a full artist trying game development for the one and only time, but I'm very driven and very passionate about this project”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include substantially more content and refinement than Early Access. This includes additional story chapters and encounters, more enemies/variations, more locations/maps, expanded progression and balancing, and a larger set of scenes/events (including optional mature content). I also plan to improve presentation (UI clarity, effects, animations), expand settings and accessibility/QoL options, and continue performance/stability improvements. Throughout Early Access, some content may be added, adjusted, or reworked based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build is playable now and includes the core gameplay loop, early content, and the primary systems needed to experience the game. Players can expect a functional foundation with ongoing updates.

This foundation includes:

-8 playable characters (4 unlocked at the start, 4 earned later through progression)
-More than 5 unique areas to explore
-A variety of enemy types with different themes and behaviors (from seductive enemies to eerie forest horrors)
-2 optional explicit scenes, including one repeatable scene that the player can trigger by choice
-A job system for earning money as an alternative to fighting
-A large set of original animated combat skills and abilities

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to increase the price according to the content added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will directly influence priorities such as balancing, encounter pacing, UI clarity, and which content gets expanded next. I’ll collect feedback through the Steam Discussions hub and by monitoring bug reports and suggestions posted by players. Major updates will be accompanied by patch notes and targeted questions (for example: difficulty tuning, progression speed, which characters/enemies players want expanded, and which systems need clearer tutorials). When possible, I’ll run small feedback cycles (experimental tweaks → community response → refinement) so players can see their input reflected in the roadmap.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game contains explicit sexual content and frequent nudity. Scenes may include visible female nipples and partial nudity. Some sexual scenes depict implied penetration through body movements and positioning, but no explicit genital insertion is shown.
The game also includes themes of seduction, domination, and dubious consent in certain enemy encounters (e.g., teasing/temptation attacks designed to arouse or restrain the player’s progress).

About This Game

Resident's Battle: A Stranger's Tale - Early Access

The Premise: Resident's Battle: A Stranger's Tale tells the story of a superpowered group of friends indulging in personal conflicts, while a mysterious agent (you, the player) infiltrates their chaos for personal, unknown reasons.

Your mission as the Angel Force is to rescue your home, yeah your house got stolen, the whole HOUSE.

Your mission as Agent 01 is to investigate all these individuals.

But you will get distracted, by a lot of jiggle physics

The Gameplay: The game is a comedy/visual novel classic RPG where you fight colorful and fan-servicey enemies. Level up and romance key characters.

AI Content: There is one instances of AI being used in the game:

  • Grammar correction via Grammarly (which didn't use AI at first) and ChatGPT. (English is not my first language and although i write and speak it fluently, i like to prevent grammar mistakes for the game.

Note: All story, scripts, and spicy scenes are written by humans.

Art and Assets: Original art, animations, and most backgrounds are created by me.

Some backgrounds are RPG Maker defaults, 3D rendered, or purchased from asset packs on different Game Assets websites

Lewd Content: The game contains a lot of fan service, mature and explicit language. Currently, there are 2 full spicy scenes—one with voice acting and the other with sound effects (more to come).

I'm at artist at heart, I don't know what i'm doing but i will still try!
