What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re releasing in Early Access so players can join the project from the start, play right away, and help shape what it becomes. We want this game to be a living, continuously improving experience—with regular updates, new content, and refinements driven by both our vision and community feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last around 12–24 months, depending on feedback and how the game evolves during development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the full version with more content, deeper systems, and a broader overall scope. This includes additional gameplay features, more variety and progression, improved balance, expanded story/case content, better UI/UX, and ongoing performance and polish based on what we learn during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is playable and stable, with the core gameplay loop in place. You can already experience the main features and start playing immediately, while we continue to iterate on content, balancing, quality-of-life improvements, and overall polish through frequent updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're not planning on changing the price when we leave early access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a clear core vision, but the community will directly influence our priorities and features. Player feedback will guide case variety, gameplay, interrogation tools/UI, difficulty/hints, and quality-of-life improvements. We’ll collect feedback via the Steam Community hub (Discussions + pinned threads) and a feedback form on our website, and we’ll act on it through regular updates and patch notes.”

About This Game

Step into the neon haze of justice. One Way Mirror: AI is a procedural detective experience set in a police precinct, where every case, suspect, and conversation is dynamically AI generated — and no two mysteries are ever the same.

You’re not following a script — you’re living the investigation. Talk freely with anyone you meet: the weary desk sergeant, the sharp-tongued partner, the nervous witnesses, or the suspects who think they can outsmart you. Every line of dialogue is powered by artificial intelligence, making each exchange unpredictable, human, and deeply personal.

Piece together clues, chase down leads, and confront the truth in a city that hides it well. Your intuition, your words, and your judgment are your only real weapons — and every wrong move could let the real criminal walk free.

The truth is out there, somewhere between the smoke and the silence.
Can you find it?

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

This game uses generative AI to create unique detective cases and power in-game conversations. At the start of each session, the AI generates a new case (scenario details, suspects, motives, and leads). During gameplay, NPC dialogue is also generated in real time based on the case context and what you type.

To keep things safe and on-topic, the game includes guardrails that filter both player input and AI output. AI-generated text is used only for gameplay narrative and dialogue.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Mature Content Notice:
This game deals with mature themes related to crime and homicide investigations. Violence is not depicted on-screen: there are no graphic scenes, gore, or explicit violence. The events have already occurred and the gameplay focuses on questioning suspects, discussing evidence, and uncovering what happened through dialogue. The game may include strong language and references to adult topics consistent with a police/detective setting.
