Miksi Early Access?

This is the kind of game where the feel of exploration—its pacing, tempo, and difficulty curve—has a huge impact on how fun it is.

Right now, there’s a solid playable foundation. From here, I’m searching for the best balance:
do I make it more complex to go deeper, or keep it simpler to make it smoother and more satisfying?
Rather than relying only on the developer’s judgment, I want to tune it with real player feedback.

The goal of Early Access is to shape the game’s “core fun” together with the community.

We’re aiming for roughly 6–12 months.
That said, we’ll prioritize locking in the game’s direction (more complex vs. more streamlined) and reaching a stable, satisfying feel—so the timeline may shift depending on progress.

Early Access lets you experience the game’s core gameplay loop. For the full release, we plan to expand and finalize the following:
Exploration density & meaningful choices (strengthening the structure so exploration doesn’t become repetitive)
More content such as items, enemies, and terrain (biomes)
Balance tuning (difficulty curve, and the risk–reward tradeoff)
UI & presentation improvements (clearer information and better pacing)
More long-term replayability (greater depth, challenge, and goals to pursue)

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Turn-based dungeon exploration built with Noto Emoji—move, explore, and make decisions, one turn at a time.
Enemies, items, and UI are in place, and the game is fully playable.
That said, the density of exploration (how “rich” the fun feels) and the overall game feel are still being tuned, and we’re currently reworking how the whole system fits together—deciding whether to lean toward deeper complexity or a simpler, faster tempo.
Because of that, Early Access will be about more than just adding content: we’ll also keep refining the game’s core structure.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We don’t plan to change the base price. Instead, we’ll adjust the discount rate as a “supporter price.”

You can get involved in the following ways:
Share feedback and requests on the Steam Community (Discussion Boards)
Report bugs (steps to reproduce, screenshots, logs, etc.)
Give balance-related opinions (difficulty, pacing, unfairness vs. lack of challenge)
Vote and discuss direction (more complex vs. more streamlined—what’s more fun?)
If needed, we’ll also gather input via Discord and other channels (we’ll provide a clear path)
We’ll organize all feedback by priority—based on reproducibility, impact, and development cost—and reflect it in our update plans.

An emoji roguelike born from respect for “Rogue.”
If dungeons were once drawn with ASCII, why not build them with emoji (Noto Emoji) today!?
That curiosity is where this Mystery Dungeon–style, turn-based dungeon crawler began.

The visuals are an homage, but the gameplay is rebuilt around exploration and decision-making.
Step through a dungeon that changes every run, read enemies, items, and terrain, and try to reach and conquer the lowest floor. In every expedition you’ll choose whether to fight, avoid danger, or save resources—your choices shape the outcome.

Rambler NTE is a turn-based, tile-based adventure where each action can change the situation. Enemies, items, and status effects are represented with emoji, letting you “read” the screen at a glance. Items are limited and often uncertain, so deciding what to pick up, when to use it, and what to save is the key to survival.

Progression is centered on level-based balance. The difficulty is tuned around your level, and neither rushing downward nor lingering too long is always the right answer. There is no fixed “expected pace” to reach the final floor—the fastest clears are expected to come from a balanced playstyle that is both cautious and bold.

The game is currently being tuned, especially the density of exploration and the feel of play. During Early Access, we will keep updating not only by adding content, but also by refining the core of the game. We are also designing additional areas meant for purpose-driven runs, such as boss hunting and item gathering, beyond simply clearing floors.

Should the game become more complex and “deep,” or simpler and more “satisfying”?
In pursuit of a truly fun dungeon exploration experience, we will continue improving the game while incorporating feedback from the community.
