Railyard Master is a single-player railway management and shunting game about restoring, operating, and expanding your own railyard.

What starts as an old, neglected yard can become a busy railway operation under your control. Repair broken infrastructure, build new tracks, manage incoming trains, sort freight wagons, supply local industries, and gradually expand your capabilities as traffic grows.

New trains, contracts, and decisions constantly keep the yard in motion. Keep everything running smoothly — because a poorly placed wagon, an occupied track, or a badly planned route can quickly turn a quiet yard into railway chaos.

🛤️ Restore and Build Your Railyard

Your yard won't start in perfect condition.

Repair worn and damaged tracks, bring abandoned sections back into service, and expand the network as your operation grows.

Place tracks, switches, and signals freely to create a layout that works for you. Build additional storage tracks, improve connections, and redesign inefficient areas as new challenges appear.

There is no single perfect layout — how the yard develops is up to you.

🚂 Get Behind the Controls

Some jobs need more than good planning.

Take control of your own shunting locomotives and move wagons around the yard yourself. Break trains apart, assemble new consists, reposition freight cars, and prepare them for their next destination.

Different jobs may ask you to:

• Route trains through the yard

• Deliver or collect freight

• Attach or detach specific wagons

• Rearrange cars into the required order

• Move stored wagons where they are needed

Good yard design makes every job easier. Bad yard design makes every mistake more interesting.

🚦 Keep the Traffic Moving

Incoming trains won't organize themselves.

Set switches, manage routes, and make sure each train reaches the correct track and destination without blocking the rest of the yard.

As traffic increases, you'll need to think ahead. A locomotive waiting in the wrong place or a wagon blocking an important connection can affect everything happening around it.

Efficiency comes from understanding how the whole yard works together.

The railway exists because something needs to move.

Factories around the yard consume raw materials and produce goods that can be transported elsewhere. Bring them the cargo they need, collect finished products, and use market conditions to decide which opportunities are worth pursuing.

A working industrial chain means more traffic, more jobs, and more reasons to keep expanding your railway.

💰 Take Contracts and Grow Your Operation

Accept freight contracts and earn credits and experience by completing railway jobs successfully.

Use your earnings to improve the yard, unlock new capabilities, and expand your locomotive fleet.

Visit the garage to purchase locomotives with different characteristics and build an operation capable of handling increasingly demanding work.

As your experience grows, so does the complexity of the railway around you.
