About This Game

Welcome to Perf

Explore the Australian city of Perf and the surrounding bushlands with a variety of vehicles. Follow the life of an Australian criminal named Charlie, whilst taking part in multiple thrilling heists throughout the city.

The Land Girt by Sea

Explore the open world, through land, air, or water. Boat over to Ratsnest Island to take selfies with the quokkas, drive over to the sunny Coddledsoul Beach, or fly over the Felonmantle Prison, and point and laugh at the criminals less successful than yourself! After a short drive, past the hills, breathe in that fresh bush air, and then get back in your ute and start doing skids on the red dirt.

Vehicles

Drive a multitude of different kinds of vehicles, from luxurious sports cars, to Australia's iconic utes. Enjoy physics based vehicle controls that allow you to hoon to your hearts content!

Weapons

Though Australia's gun laws are one of the most tight in the world, that doesn't stop you from arming yourself to the teeth! Visit the not-so-legal gun suppliers across the city, and arm yourself with pistols, assault rifles, and whatever you need to survive. Just make sure to not carry them in public, as people usually don't ignore someone carrying military grade weaponry with them while they go for a leisurely stroll near the beach.

Heists

As you move through the criminal underworld, The Larcenist takes you through multiple heists, from servo robberies, to grand bank heists. Avoid getting too wrapped up in your crimes, as when your notoriety as a criminal increases, so does the pushback from the law.

The developers describe the content like this:

Violence: The game will contain violence involving but not limited to firearms. There is very little gore in the game, only being limited to blood particle effects and bullet holes when an NPC or the player gets shot. Killing is present in the game.

Crime: Crime is present in the game, as the player has the ability to steal cars and commit robbery. Throughout the campaign, the player will take part in multiple heists. The player will have the ability to perform violent crimes like armed robbery, but through gameplay would be discouraged from inflicting too much violence or committing too many violent crimes.

Drugs: In the final game, illegal drugs will be present, however, the player will not have the ability to consume or take part in any illicit drugs. The presence of illegal drugs in this game will be limited to being a focus of a heist (eg. stealing a brick of cocaine), or being insinuated to have been taken by other characters.
