Based on the Tabletop RPG, Sworn to the Depths adapts Ironsworn: Delve to your PC, blending text-based "choose your own adventure" style gameplay and RPG crunch faithful to its pen-and-paper roots.  This is an endlessly replayable text-driven dungeon crawl where you'll explore perilous sites, roll dice to avoid said peril, make choices about how to deal with the failure of said dice, and (maybe) return triumphant.  And then do it again!

Featuring...

• A full campaign that tells a classic story of a young adventurer avenging the destruction of their homeland by an evil lich. This is a deliberately straightforward tale meant to ease players in... and definitely not because I'm a better programmer than a writer.

• Extensive modding support - The vast majority of the game can be extended.  By how much?  Every theme, domain, and asset uses the same Lua scripting and API that a mod would. So that much, you can make all those things.  Full campaigns?  Those are also mods!

• An introduction to Ironsworn - If you've wanted to check the system out, or even did try it and wondered "Am I doing this right?", this is as faithful to the Delve portions of the system as I could make it.  The in-game tutorial also serves as a pen and paper tutorial!

Is This Game For You?

If you liked choose your own adventure books but thought:

• "I wish this had more dice rolling",

• "Actually I played the ones with dice rolling and want more of that",

• "This should just keep going forever", and/or

• "I want to make one!"

Then yes!

Or maybe you've played Ironsworn and thought:

• "I want endless Delve!",

• "I wish there was a computer game of this",

• "I can't find anyone to DM this", and/or

• "Oh, Ironsworn is a solo game, I could DM it.... but I don't want to."

Then also yes!

What this game isn't

Importantly, this game is not:

• A virtual tabletop - it's an entirely singleplayer experience not tied to any other tools.

• The full Ironsworn ruleset - as befits a dungeon crawl, this is focused entirely on the Delve experience.

• An action packed 3d visual masterpiece. But hey, being text based means it's limited only by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination!  If you're like me, that means it'll look like those screenshots.

So, if you want to amass riches beyond compare (and who doesn't?) or die trying (wait, what?) then start delving!  Those depths aren't going to swear to themselves!
