What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Geometry Attack began as a VR passion project during a 2025 Meta hackathon and has since evolved into a versatile, high-octane arcade experience. As a solo developer, I’ve brought the game to a fully playable state across VR, 2D, and Steam Deck, but the "final dimension" of the game isn't quite here yet.

I am launching in Early Access to build a dedicated community of high-score chasers. By involving players now, I can fine-tune the difficulty curves, refine the "feel" of new geometric enemies, and prioritize features—like global leaderboards and new power-ups—based directly on your feedback and PAX East playtesting.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I anticipate Geometry Attack being in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months. This allows enough time to incorporate community feedback from PAX East and complete the planned content roadmap without rushing the final polish.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to feature a wider variety of enemy types, additional weapons and power-ups, and a progression system. I also aim to implement full Steam Achievement integration and more immersive special effects for VR.

While Geometry Attack is currently optimized for PCVR and Steam Deck, I am actively planning for the upcoming Steam Frame launch. My goal is to achieve 'Steam Frame Verified' status to provide a seamless, high-performance standalone and streaming experience as soon as the hardware is available.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently fully playable from start to finish in both 2D and VR. It features a core set of geometric enemies, local high-score tracking, and is fully optimized for the Steam Deck (DX11). Players can expect a stable, 'pick-up-and-play' arcade experience today.
Fully compatible with digital arcade sticks and fight sticks for a true cabinet-style experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“To reward early supporters who join the journey from the beginning, Geometry Attack will be available at a lower price during Early Access as a thank you for your feedback and support.

As more content is added and the game moves toward a 1.0 release, the price will increase to reflect the expanded features and overall polish of the full experience. I will provide plenty of notice to the community before any price adjustments take place.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is the heartbeat of Geometry Attack. The game’s first public debut is at PAX East (March 26–29, 2026) in Boston, where I’ll be collecting live feedback from players to fine-tune the difficulty, controls, and 'feel' of the arcade combat.

Beyond the show floor, I invite all players to join the official Geometry Attack Discord. There, you can chat directly with me, participate in polls for new enemy designs, and see behind-the-scenes devlogs. Your input doesn't just support the game—it directly shapes the next dimension.”
