About This Game

Summary:

After World War I ended, Colonel Moorehead disappeared without a trace while searching for an ancient object known as the Eye of Vala, one of the original “Seeds” of a power-hungry Asura (Demon God) named Vala.

According to legend, Vala overthrew Indra and subjugated the other demigods, but was tricked into undergoing a mock ritual sacrifice, causing the remains of his shattered body to turn into powerful gem seeds.

After a period of fruitless searching, the colonel was presumed dead and the search was abandoned, but his family did not lose hope that he was still alive and hired the services of a bounty hunter named MacNaughton to bring back news of him, dead or alive, in exchange for a large sum of money.

MacNaughton will not be the only one on the trail; other forces are also searching for the Eye, a powerful object and the key to locating the rest of the “Seeds” that could awaken Vala again and give control of her power to whoever possesses it.

The Legend of Vala:

“In ancient times, the god Indra ruled the universe from a throne high in the heavens until he was overthrown by a power-hungry Asura (demon god) named Vala.”

“Unlike Indra, Vala was very unpopular, and as a result, he had to occupy the throne by force, subjugating all the demigods and lesser beings, even Indra himself.”

"Rites and sacrifices were part of life in those days, but often the rite itself was sufficient, so that the entire sacrifice was not always necessary. So the demigods tricked Vala into acting as the sacrificial animal in a mock ritual. Once they had him tied up, Vala was under their control, and they brutally murdered him, cutting his body into many pieces and reinstating Indra as Lord of Heaven."

"Although Vala may have been a tyrant, he gave his life in a ritual sacrifice, and this gave his remains great power. The severed limbs and members of his sanctified body became powerful gem seeds.

The gods rushed to collect these seeds, some of which fell to Earth. Wherever they fell, whether in oceans, rivers, mountains, or deserts, the places became the source of mines as a result of their power.

The nine best were collected by each of the nine celestial gods, who stored in each of them the power and energy of the planet it represented. The union of the nine special gems, known as the Navaratna, would grant enormous magical power to its owner.

Indra, concerned that someone might gather the Navaratna and resurrect Vala's power, ordered his demigods to scatter the nine seeds throughout the Earth, entrusting their custody and protection to a few loyal men.

Thus, the nine seeds of Vala's power were hidden in remote places on Earth, disappearing over time.

For centuries, many men would try to locate the nine gems of Vala's power, all of them failing.
