Why Early Access?

“We have spent the past 10 months developing this game without a budget with a team of over 20 developers, artists and support staff. Allowing the game to be purchased in Early Access allows us to continue to improve and develop Bad Tides past a playable version shaped by player feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will remain in early access for the rest of 2026 and will be released in 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We will use Early Access to fix any bugs, add additional missions, items, boats and upgrades to your ships. We will also use this time to flesh out any current Points of Interest on the map. This additional content will then provide more replayability compared to the EA build.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our current co-op adventure features creature combat, fishing, and retrieval missions with up to 4 players. Accept contracts, complete missions, and pay off that debt!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will be cheaper during Early Access to reward members of the community who pledge their support while we continue to polish the final game. We will then increase the price once the final game is released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be able to provide feedback directly to the team via the Bad Tides Discord. Discord allows us to have a hub for us to do community playtests, interact directly with our players, and provide updates quickly.”
