Why Early Access?

“Launching the game in early access allows for your feedback to have a greater influence over the final state of the game than otherwise.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Once the feedback from the community has been incorporated into the game, we'll take it out of Early Access and release the official 1.0 version. The goal is to launch 1.0 about a year after launching the Early Access version.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to make the full version expand upon the core mechanics of the game. We would like to add more modules, better tooling, better scenario content, and better Workshop integration.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In it's Early Access state, the game has all features described in the "About This Game" section. Please refer to that description section for it's current state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“While in Early Access, we want to make the game more accessible to the community and provide as much value as possible. With the 1.0 release, which will see more content, features, and a more polished product in general, we plan on increasing the price to match the content. Our discounted Early Access pricing is a gift to the community that helps us get started.”

Build absolutely anything in Signal Sandbox! Create digital displays, working computers, synthesizers, and so much more. Share your creations on the Steam Workshop, and build in real time with your friends. Signal Sandbox is the ultimate analog sandbox simulation.

In Signal Sandbox, you can see and hear your analog creations. Build with modules like buttons, knobs, faders, oscillators, screens, logic gates, and more. You can plug absolutely anything into anything!

Choose from 50+ premade modules, in categories like music, logic, electronics, and more. One wire carries everything - Signal Sandbox is a pure analog simulator. Hooking (almost) anything up to a speaker can get you on the road to sweet sound synthesis. And if audio isn't your style, build out any number of other projects that use displays, boolean logic, and more. The sky is the limit (until you decide to actually build the sky).

No rules, no wrong moves. Just plug and play to see what you can create!

What's better than building a Rube Goldburg rickroll machine by yourself? That's right, building a Rube Goldburg rickroll machine with friends! Invite your friends to join your tinker session. Build together, tweak together, and play together. Don't think you are up to the challenge of real-time analog collaboration? That's okay - you can browse and play other players' creations from the Workshop with your friends too!

You share the same multiplayer sandbox with your friends in real time. Dragging and dropping byte-sized modules has never been so fun!

Okay, you've made it this far. You must be, like, REALLY into signals. That's cool. Here's what's actually running under the hood of our cozy little pixel art:

TLDR; Signal Sandbox is a multiplayer analog simulator sandbox where you build contraptions with plug-and-play modules that have satisfying pixel graphics all with a real-deal simulation running under the hood.
