Welcome to the BADASS BRIGADE!

Throw a dude at another dude! Badass Brigade is a light-hearted 2D action game where you shoot, punch, grab, and throw your foes. Take on missions where you can explore the world and uncover a wide variety of weapons and gear for new ways to fight.

You are a Brig (short for Brigadier). You, along with everyone else around here, are stuck on planet Idronis after it was placed under Planetary Lockdown several hundred years ago for mysterious reasons. Unable to continue with interstellar acts of piracy, tomfoolery, and other shenanigans, boredom and disillusionment have set in. Looking for a change of pace, you abandoned your post to try and make a living by selling...deep fried bug legs.

Clearly, this venture does not last long. New intel suggests that it may be possible to lift the Lockdown, and perhaps a way uncover the reason it was started in the first place...

Aside from the Badass Brigade, the other unlucky sons caught up in this mess are:

• The Galactic Police Department (GPD). They’re the primary governing body over most of the galaxy. Yes, the police department also does the governing. The GPD is staffed entirely with machine life, all controlled by a central AI.

• The Interstellar Armada, a roaming space fleet of techno-crustaceans led by Admiral Jer’cayce (or as everyone else calls him, Jerkface). He is the selfproclaimed arch nemesis of the Badass Brigade due to various reasons that we can’t remember.

• Lately, the native ever-glistening and poppable Boombugs of planet Idronis have begun to exhibit some mildly upsetting behavior, such as performing blood sacrifices and unholy rituals. It’s probably not worth investigating.

• Take on various metroidvania-style missions filled with enemies, puzzles, and secrets.

• Grab stuff, throw stuff. Grab a key, throw it at a door. Grab a table, throw it at a dude. Grab a dude, throw him at another dude.

• Tons of guns! A weapon for every occasion.

• All traversal abilities available from the get go. No unlocking a new skill in mission 10 to get a health upgrade in level 2. Instead, use that big brain of yours to puzzle things out.

• Boss (and mini-boss) fights, of course.

  • Scan stuff for questionably useful information. 

  • Scan important things to fill out the Codex for that juicy lore.
