Jaide is a code editor built specifically for the Jai programming language, with a focus on providing the editing and navigation features needed to comfortably work on larger Jai projects.

Jai Compiler Required

At present, Jaide is intended for users who already have access to the Jai compiler.

An existing installation of the Jai compiler is required to build and run programs from within Jaide. Jaide's syntax highlighting, parsing, and language-aware features are designed around the latest version of Jai and may not work correctly with older compiler versions.

Once the Jai compiler becomes publicly distributable, we plan to include it directly with Jaide so that a separate compiler installation is no longer required.

Jaide is under active development alongside the evolving Jai language. Additional editor features and deeper Jai integration are planned as both Jaide and the language continue to develop.
