About This Game

Lead Armita through the ruthless Barrens, fight turn-based tactical card battles, and make choices that shape her Humanity — and the ending.
Raiders World: Armita’s Search is a story-driven, single-player, tactical roguelite card game set in a post-apocalyptic world, where being kind in the Barrens is the hardest path.

BEING KIND IS HARD MODE

Make decisions that change more than just dialogue — they change available actions, how the world treats you, and the ending. Stay humane and pay a high price for it. Or harden and become a raider — it’s easier to survive that way. The main resource in the Barrens is not spoils, not bullets, and not even clean water.

The main resource... is Humanity.

------------------------------------------------------------

RAISE ARMITA IN THE BARRENS

Armita grew up safe inside a hidden bunker — until the Patrol breached it and kidnapped her father. Left with only Fred, her nanny-bot and bodyguard, she sets out across the Barrens — a world half terraformed by aliens, half burned down and looted by feral survivors. The road changes Armita, and your decisions will determine whether she can find her family, uncover the truth behind the apocalypse — and, most importantly, who she becomes.

------------------------------------------------------------

(NOT) HEROES OF THE BARRENS

Companions who join you are not just punching bags on the battlefield. Not just bundles of extra cards with new mechanics.

They have stories and tell you tales. They have personalities, open and hidden goals that don’t always align with yours. They react to your Humanity level and the choices you make. And they live, change, and die in the Barrens — just like you.

------------------------------------------------------------

A STYLIZED 2D WASTELAND

A hand-drawn 2D world with a gritty comic-book feel and a bleak atmosphere — where mechanics, cards, and story all point to one thing: who will you become once you cross the Barrens?

------------------------------------------------------------

A NEW DECK IN EVERY REGION

The Barrens are divided into regions, and each region begins with a quick build setup.

At the start of each region, in three clicks, you choose:

— Armita’s preset (new ones unlock as she grows up and your moral path evolves)

— two companions (new ones unlock as you progress through the story and through random encounters)

Each preset and companion brings 3 signature cards, so you begin the region with a small but already customized 12-card deck.

If you can’t clear the region, you roll back to its start and rebuild: a different preset, different companions, and a new strategy for that region’s enemies and boss.

------------------------------------------------------------

THREE TYPES OF CARDS: COMPANIONS, ITEMS, TROUBLES

Along the way you find:

— companion cards — named characters. If you have enough resources to hire one, they don’t join alone, but with a 4-card mini-deck (the companion + three signature cards) with guaranteed internal synergy

— item cards — weapons and tools with unique mechanics; build combinations and prepare for bosses

— trouble cards — thirst, breakdowns, radiation, illness, and other hardships that make fights harder. You’ll want to get rid of them.

------------------------------------------------------------

TURN-BASED TACTICS THAT REWARD THINKING

Battles are tactical and turn-based, built around planning rather than reflexes:

— up to 5 fighters on each side

— allies and enemies attack automatically at the end of the turn

— they telegraph their intentions in advance, giving you a full turn to adapt

— different attack patterns (melee, shots, area attacks, buffs and debuffs)

— cover is temporary protection that doesn’t disappear instantly

— enemy waves and their leader: you can focus the leader to make the squad flee, or clear the rank-and-file first to weaken the leader

------------------------------------------------------------

RESOURCES AND THE ROAD

Every move through the Barrens costs resources. If you run short, your deck fills with Trouble cards — and winning battles becomes harder.

Sometimes you’ll meet a guarded merchant: you can trade — or rob them, if your Humanity has fallen low enough.

REPLAYABILITY

Every attempt to clear a region is a new combination of stories, enemies, and consequences:

— some key story events are guaranteed, but they change depending on your choices and Humanity

— bosses and mini-bosses in each region belong to fixed factions, but can face you with different squads

— a significant part of the region’s events and battles is chosen randomly, but is unique to that region

— new Armita presets as she grows and your path evolves

— new companions and their mini-decks

— different routes, encounters, and outcomes across regions

— multiple endings depending on your decisions and Humanity level

Story events are the backbone of the campaign, while additional encounters, battles, and random events add variety, resources, and risk.

RAIDERS WORLD

Raiders World isn’t just a game — it’s a full original universe. Back in 2017, we released a board game set in this world. Right now, we’re preparing to publish the story-driven deckbuilder Armita’s Search. After that, we plan to release:

— a tabletop RPG in this universe, where you’ll be able to step into the role of a raider

— a comic that follows Valkyries Beth and Swift on an adventure in a Barrens region called Crust

— two more video games in different genres that continue the story of this world

Will you keep your Humanity — or become a new horror of these scarred lands?
