À propos de ce jeu

Chess Tales is a puzzle board game that expands Chess beyond the regular 8x8 board with special objectives, mechanics and AI. You only need to know the basic rules of Chess and how the pieces move!

Instead of the traditional checkmate, complete certain mandatory and optional objectives to pass levels.

Each chapter tells a complete story with a unique setting. The themes and settings are inspired by Indian architecture and mythology. The final level of each chapter involves capturing the king, ending the story.

Different types of AI for opponent pieces add an element of strategy to each level. Some pieces stay in place waiting for your piece to get in range, some pace around, some follow your pieces.

Chapters also introduce some unique mechanics that blend well into the theme. Some squares break when you land on them. Others crack first before breaking when you land on them a second time. Traps activate when a piece passes through, capturing it. Some blocks of squares rotate or move every turn. 

Play the VR version for even more chaos! All levels are fully interactable and destructible, even allowing you to flip the table when you lose!
