 Horses of Gavarnie is a 3D Narrative Adventure about raising horses in the rustic Pyrenees. You manage a ranch, build a community, and guide both humans and horses through a changing world where you pair horses up with their forever homes.

Where we're at

Think of it like we've got all the blueprints approved, the concept art is on the walls. The Foundation is Built: story, and art direction are designed and approved. Core mechanics such as riding, character controls and camera, dialog, and horse genetics exist. We know how the game works, what the story is, and what it should look like. No more guessing.

Playable Prototypes Exist, we have key "bits of gameplay" that need to be assembled together. Art, environments, and menus are getting made weekly. It’s slowly looking less like a tech demo. Our main job now is to mare more prototype chunks and test them even more  assembling them together with the art. This means a ton of bug fixing, making sure systems talk to each other, and optimizing so it runs smooth. 

We’ll launch into Early Access once this assembling, also called Pre production phase is done and we have something that’s fun, stable, and ready for you to break and give us notes on.

Horses of Gavarnie is a third-person narrative driven game set in a fantasy world inspired by the Pyrenees, where you manage a ranch, build a community, and adapt to industrialization. Discover and create new horse breeds, lead a second horse by your side as you ride, and help both horses and humans find their perfect match.

You play as Arabelle, a bearneese woman with many stories, and you must manage this farm dedicated to raising horses. However, your role goes beyond your small farm; mutual help and solidarity are important here, making you a pillar of the community. You will help both horses and humans find their perfect life partners in these rustic mountains, while learning how to live with constant progress that changes the balance of their home. If you look closely, you might even spot mystical creatures like the «dahu »...

A French Wild West, where horses are not just resources but true companions. You will help the locals improve their quality of life, as well as that of the other creatures. You can also customize and welcome more residents, all without the concept of money. It is possible to move around with your main mount and a second horse by your side , which will follow you and carry your belongings. A breeding system allows you to discover new coat colors and breeds, helping you complete the “book of colors”, like a collectibles album.
