• This energy transfers through the ropes. When the rope contacts an obstacle, the remaining energy is transferred through the puppet's body to the other side of the rope, enabling large-scale swinging motions.

📜 Story Background

Players exist within a virtual game dimension, controlling a puppet that can only move via rope traction. The journey takes you through cave ruins and ancient relics. Overcoming hardships and mastering the ropes, you must guide the puppet to the end of its travels.

⚔️ Controls & Abilities

The Left Rope

• Controls the puppet's left arm, lifting and maneuvering it.

• Special Ability: The left rope absorbs the power of Item A and Item D.

  • Once obtained, these items allow the rope (and thus the puppet) to move forcibly to the left or right for a short duration.

The Right Rope

• Controls the puppet's right arm and can lift the puppet independently.

• Weapon Link: The right arm is connected to the puppet's weapon.

  • Attacking enemies with the weapon causes them to disappear.

    Skeleton Warrior

    • High HP: Possesses a large amount of health.

    • Melee Attack: Attacks any enemy that gets close to it.

    Skeleton Archer

    • Fixed Volley: Fires 3 arrows in a fixed direction and distance.

    • Homing Shot: Can also fire a single arrow that tracks the player.

    Spike Traps

    • High Damage: Inflicts heavy damage on the puppet.

    • Variations: Spikes can be found in three forms:

      • Static: Fixed in place.

      • Wooden Log: Attached to a rolling log.

      • Mobile Stone: Attached to a moving mechanical block.

      The game does not feature a save system. This means that if the player dies, they must restart the game from the very beginning. The full playthrough to complete the game takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.

      🎨 Development Inspiration & Process

      The creator is a 40-year-old homeless man. During 8 years of wandering, he jotted down many ideas. One day, lying on a bunk in a youth hostel, he reflected on his life and what regrets he had. He remembered a game concept he had imagined when he was 18—a concept he felt had never been seen in gaming history.

      He returned home and taught himself C#, Unity, and Photoshop. When he struggled with the art style, he discovered the pixel art software Aseprite on Bilibili.

      The Challenge of Physics

      To realize the connection between the ropes and the puppet, and the transmission of force between them, he stayed up late for 3 months. He found this to be an extremely difficult feature to implement. Researching this was a very troublesome subject.

      • The Process: In a broad sense, the concept seemed feasible, but within that broad scope, many small problems arose.

      • Problem Solving: He attempted dozens of methods and hundreds of solutions. When one approach failed, he had to backtrack and adjust the overall direction, only to face new choices and the need for constant experimentation.

      The Struggle

      The developer suffered from severe depression during this time. For 4 months, he was stuck on the rope mechanics, making no progress. He truly believed it was too difficult to achieve.

      While lying in bed for a week, feeling lost and helpless, he decided to give up. But right before quitting, he decided to try one last time. After 3 days of relentless effort, he finally realized the rope gameplay.
