Welcome to the Afterlife, Dear Spirits

Matchmaking for Ghosts is a character-focused, narrative-driven visual novel about love, loss, and unfinished business. You’re dead sure, but now what?The defining hook of Matchmaking for Ghosts lies in choice of perspective. Rather than following a single protagonist, players can step into the role of multiple ghostly leads, each with their own past, regrets, and stories. Every protagonist experiences the afterlife differently, and every route reframes the same world through a new emotional lens.

You’re thrown into a string of speed-dating rounds. Forced to come to terms with your death in a small period of time. All to find your soulmate, because if you don't, Death guarantees you'll receive a negative judgement.

Fortunately for you, 8 other ghosts have to persevere through the same fate. 
Make friends, break hearts, and spark a little bit of chaos along the way. Enjoy yourself~

This is your second chance, and you don't get a third.

You play as one of the dead, thrown into an afterlife hotel by Death itself.

Here, you are given one final chance: to connect, to love, and to be understood.

Form bonds with other lost souls through fun conversations, risky flirting, and difficult decisions. At the end, your efforts will be judged: ascension, descent, or something worse, awaits. 

To get in the mood, Matchmaking for Ghosts is best experienced at a relaxed pace, with sound on.  Don't rush, allow yourself to be immersed, and enjoy yourself while making choices. The saving features allows the player to save whenever they'd like and pick up exactly where they left off. 

Features

• POV: Play as one of the ghosts yourself & date a cast of intricately crafted individuals who are all from different time periods and regions of the world. 

• Decisions Matter: Your path is shaped by every single choice you make, including the risks you take and the words you use. 

• Multiple unique CGs for every available pairing and several CGS per character. 

• Pair or matchmake a variety of ghosts. Chase romance, stir conflict, or engineer absolute messes. Every pairing unlocks unique scenes, provided new character details, and leads to vastly different outcomes.

• A Variety of Environments: Discover a creepy hallway, a glowing arcade, an opulent Victorian living room, and even a Bunny Cafe during your stay that are all brought to life by unique soundtracks, artwork, and backgrounds.

• Unique Sound Design: Each round of dating includes engrossing aural cues, including footsteps, wooden creaks, flickering candles, and other SFX.

• Original OST: The official soundtrack of the game is completely original, and each background environment, and ghostly character has their own respective theme. There are over 35 tracks in the current game!

This DEMO includes:

• Mary & Ryder as the two playable POV characters. 

• Zack, Alice, Ryder, and Mary as dateable characters;

• Multiple rounds of fun, and over 8 hours of gameplay. 

• Multiple choice sets per round;

• Emotional voice overs, polished visuals, and immersive audio;

• And GIFTS from each character for you (the player) to collect!~

Meet the Cast (and You)



Mary: A fragile but sharp orphan pianist, resigned to despair but harboring sparks of hidden thrill. The rain is heavier than usual tonight. 

Alice: A classy, but cruelly blunt ghost with a psychotic streak and a dark past. A chaotic, malicious spirit who may hold ulterior motives for this game. 



Zack: A laid-back streetwise ghost who masks deep regrets and jealousy with humor and chill vibes. Riding through life until he reached a dead-end. 





Ryder: A detective who died with honor, now learning to live without purpose. This hotel holds many secrets... perhaps he can get to the bottom of this case?

Matchmaking for Ghosts explores dark, emotional, and complex themes that may be sensitive for some players.

The story includes:

- Non-graphic depictions of violence, including supernatural attacks, ghostly injury, and, in potential endings, character deaths.
- Psychological horror elements, such as intimidation, coercion, manipulation, and threatening behavior by specific characters
- Strong emotional themes, including death, grief, trauma, regret, guilt, and moral judgment
- Alcohol and drug use, portrayed within the narrative
- Suggestive dialogue, flirting, and adult themes, without explicit sexual acts or pornographic content

Some narrative paths may lead to lethal or morally disturbing outcomes, depending on player choices. All violence is stylized and non-graphic, but may be intense in tone.

There are no depictions of sexual assault or non-consensual sexual acts. However, the game may portray emotional distress, power imbalances, and psychologically unsettling situations as part of its storytelling.

Players sensitive to themes involving death, violence, psychological tension, or darker relationship dynamics should use discretion.
