„Our team is comprised of passionate individuals who want to support Benthos to completion! With this being our first launch title on Steam, we need community support to achieve all our game's goals! Having a passionate community will also allow us to receive live feedback and make adjustments as we develop new features!“

„It is difficult to predict how long Early Access will last accurately.

However, based on our estimates, we expect to be in early access for 1 - 2 years.

We have multiple goals that we will work towards, and we also want to achieve them while still delivering a quality game at a reasonable pace. We're dedicated to completing Benthos and making it the best game possible.“

„Our goal with Benthos is to deliver a more polished, content-rich version of the game with a plethora of new gameplay experiences.

During the Early Access phase, we plan to release major updates that introduce new content, including Biomes, Creatures, Missions, Submarine Upgrades, and Narrative Experiences.“

Once a thriving hub of commerce, trade, and exploration, this alien planet has long since been abandoned. While most have moved to new opportunities, one man is determined to keep exploring. You and your fellow mercenaries must work together to pilot a submarine and navigate the ocean’s dangerous depths, helping your mysterious sponsor discover the secrets beneath the surface.

Submarine

Manage the power and health of your submarine as you explore. Divert a limited amount of power between consoles that control various aspects of the ship. Use the sonar to detect nearby creatures, use the turrets to ward off enemies, use the shield to prevent damage, and more.

Cooperation

Work together with up to 4 players to manage your sub, coordinating which consoles to use and when to use them in order to address threats. Choose from a variety of missions during each voyage into the ocean, each requiring you to work together in unique ways. One wrong move could mean death, so teamwork is of the utmost importance.

Exploration

Uncover the various zones in the dark depths, each with its own unique habitat and organisms. Take on missions specific to each area and rebuild checkpoints that have been left unused. It is up to you and your team to discover the secrets lurking at this mysterious planet's core.
