You play as Apu Apujaistu, a frog who's never left his house. One day, You, Apu, decides that it's time to do something else with your life... So you go outside!

About the game, TDLR

Apu's frenlyquest is an RPG, top down shooter, with elements of bullet hell and problem solving. The game follows a linear progression, but also rewards exploration.

Shooter

Unlock a variety of weapons, from pistols, from auto rifles, to lasers, and destroy your enemies! Each weapon may be viable for its own reasons. Your weapon is aimed via the mouse for ultra accurate shooting.

Dungeons

As you progress through the game, you will be met will several dungeons, each with their own confusing features, such as mazes, or powerful enemies that must be dealt with in order to continue.

Exploration

Exploration is largely rewarded! Throughout the game you may find "Gems", a special currency used to unlock especially power weapons and upgrades. This exploration takes the form of wandering around, having a sharp eye and talking to NPCs.

Enemies and Bosses

You will be met with many different enemies and bosses, each with varying strengths. Their difficulty generally increases as you progress.

Producenci opisują te treści w następujący sposób:

Mature content is very lightly sprinkled through out the game, mostly through cartoon violence death animations of enemies. Each enemy has their own unique ( and comedic ) death animation, one of which has his crotch shot off, which is the "worst". Everything is done with pixel art though, so you will need to use your imagination to be disturbed.
Swearing is also sometimes present in the dialogue.
There is also a reference to sexual abuse.
