About This Game

Overview

Build and customize your homestead of timber, crops, and animals, while you manage the eco diversity of a small town. Go off exploring and foraging in the woods while evading predators. Craft goods and get to know the local townsfolk in this wholesome and cozy farming life sim.

Features in the game already:

Every plant in the game has a health value determined by several factors including sun/shade, temperature, water, and more. At the start of the game, only maple and pine trees are part of the ecosystem along with invasive shrubs. You must work to bring back the biodiversity into the system to help the animals return and the town thrive. Be sure to grow a wide variety of crops and fruits on your farm, and check out the beautiful wildflowers in the summer!

The year is divided into 8 different seasons (Early/Late Spring, Early/Late Summer, Early/Late Fall, Early/Late Winter) on the calendar, but the weather shifts dynamically as the year progresses. Leaves change and fall based on individual trees rather than all at once. Rainfall impacts the amount of water in the soil, which in turn impacts plant health, and temperature can dictate which plants will thrive and when.

Each forest tree has a separate forgeable which is only available at certain times of the year and tree seeds only drop when the real life equivalent tree typically drops seeds, so you must remain active with your foraging. There are also 5 different wild berry bushes and 11 different wildflowers that will spawn and grow across the map, once introduced to the environment.

Animals play a key role and are also dynamic. There will be farm animals for which you can care (and take advantage of their byproducts or meat production), along with wild animals that you can watch for fun or hunt for meat.  But be careful if you're out deep in the woods or at night, because the predators will also be out hunting!

There is a real estate progression system, whereby you can start by renting a room at the inn each night, or save up to buy your own property. There is 1 apartment and 1 house in town, and then 6 different open plots of land of various sizes (and prices). On the open plots, you can build homes and accessory buildings as you build your homestead, small farm, timber property, or ranch.

Crafting is a big part of the game, as you can collect resources while foraging, mining, or lumberjacking. Those resources can then be used to create all kinds of products and goods that you can sell for a profit. Plus there's plenty of foods to cook with either supplies from the grocer or the ingredients you grow!

The town may be small, but there's plenty to do. First, stop in the tavern & inn to get a bite to eat and a bed to sleep. Then be sure to head over to do some shopping at the carpenter's shop where you can buy furniture or use the sawmill to convert logs into planks (until you get your own sawmill!), the grocery store to get ingredients for cooking, the farm and garden store to buy seeds, and the hardware store to buy tools. There's also a local doctor who will help if you get attacked by a bear, and a cemetery to explore, though be sure to bring a flashlight if you go at night!
