The Hopeless Few: Survive the Lockdown

The Hopeless Few is a solo-developed, high-stakes, Third-Person Shooter roguelite where efficiency and timing are everything. You have a strict time limit to locate and fire the emergency rescue flares hidden across a modular industrial complex. Fail to escape, and you lose the run. Every run features a randomized block layout and unique set of Run Modifiers that you can unlock and select. Master the unpredictable maze, hit your objectives, and secure an escape before the time runs out.

Venture out of the Safe Zone for Better Loot

The central courtyard is a small Safe Room housing your vulnerable crew. These survivors are your only utility: the Tinkerer crafts ammo, the Medic heals, and the Armorer upgrades your weapons. To use these functions, you must run back to them and endure a tense processing queue, costing precious seconds on the clock. Venture out into the contiguous blocks to scavenge for high-value resources and better gear. Use the modular Grid Inventory to your adventage - decide what's worth the space, or better yet, expand your stash with new cargo pieces.

Tactical Combat and The Final Defense

Success hinges on balancing speed and survival. Locating and firing a flare triggers a localized spike in the zombie activity, demanding precise TPP aiming and shooting to survive the ambush. The true test comes after the final flare is fired: all surviving enemies immediately converge on your Safe Room. The last seconds are a desperate, all-out defense of your crew. Extract with your loot to earn Hope, which you can spend on permanent upgrades, making the next run slightly less impossible.
