Introducing Game Torch: a minecart ride through the tunnels of your game backlog. Discover games the community says are worth your time — and hidden gems that could become your next favorite.

Game Torch turns discovery into a cozy, retro-soaked ritual. Hop in the cart and roll through themed tunnels (starting with Horror at launch), stopping at gems to inspect — each gem is a real game on Steam. Skim our “back-of-box” description and open the game’s store page on Steam if you wish. Then make the call: KEEP it in your bag, or CRUSH it and move on.

At the end of each 6-game ride, you’ll arrive at Camp, where you can review your haul before finalizing additions to your Gem Collection.

How it works

• Minecart discovery runs — a fast, focused way to find games that feels nostalgic

• KEEP / CRUSH decisions — build your Gem Collection of game cards from your mine runs

• 1,000-game curated launch set — a human-curated Horror canon. Retro and Bizarre canons are planned for future updates (not available at launch).

• No paid placement — the mine’s picks aren’t influenced by ads or sponsorships

• Three discovery paths — Surface (high-review-count standouts), Cult (under-the-radar favorites with passionate fans), Hidden (low-review gems waiting to be discovered)

• Ask Danny — when available, your minekeeper guide Danny the Mole gives a quick personal take

Built for real life

Game Torch seeks to recreate a “Friday night at the video store (1997)” feeling: discovery, discussion with anyone else along for the ride, and deciding what you’re bringing back. You’ll hit that “oh wow, this is for me” moment quickly — and Game Torch keeps it fun even when you’re just sightseeing.

Artwork note: Game info and Gem Collection card visuals are original by default. When developers opt in, Game Torch may display official key art on game info and Gem Collection cards.
