Eschaton: Battle For Eternity is a top-down, arcade-style sci-fi space shooter built for quick runs, tight reactions, and “one more try” replayability. Blast through vivid, colorful space battles, collect weapon upgrades, and take on multiple boss fights as the action ramps up.

If you love score-chasing, Eschaton supports a built-in run timer for speedrunning and delivers an end-of-run breakdown including score and accuracy—perfect for players who want to route runs, optimize patterns, and push for personal bests. There’s also an active speedrun presence on , and Steam Leaderboards are planned so the community can compete directly in-game.

This project began as a demo/proof-of-concept I created as a student project in Fall 2018. In 2025, I returned to expand it into a more complete game—adding an upgrade system, more enemy ships, expanded scoring, a health UI and lives system, multiple bosses, additional scenes, improved balance (more spawns, faster pacing, higher difficulty), and a polished HD OST, while also removing inconsistent bugs.

Everything in the game was created entirely by me: 3D & 2D assets, animations, sound effects, music, and code. It’s a personal homage to classic arcade influences like Galaga, Batsugun, and Mars Matrix.

The current release is intentionally compact—five levels with multiple bosses—but it’s designed to be fast, challenging, and highly replayable. More updates/sequels are planned over time, including more levels and music, and potentially narrative elements like cutscenes and dialogue.
