Cat Meme Wars is a third-person action RPG inspired by internet cat and dog meme culture.

Those familiar faces you've seen in memes, short videos, and online communities are no longer just sitting around on your screen being cute.

Now they've picked up all kinds of ridiculous weapons, learned combat skills and magic, stepped into a bizarre fantasy world, and gotten caught up in a war that may decide the fate of Meme-kind itself.

The world of Cat Meme Wars is filled with Meme characters, each with their own appearance, personality, and strange behavior.

The game features more than 120 Meme-inspired characters.

Some will become your friends.

Some will give you quests.

Some may simply stand by the roadside doing something that makes absolutely no sense.

And some...

will pick up a weapon and charge straight at you.

In this world, you never really know whether the next Meme you meet will be a trustworthy companion, a bizarre NPC, or a Meme boss ready to fight you for the next ten minutes.

It May Look Ridiculous — But the Combat Doesn't Mess Around

Cat Meme Wars features real-time third-person action combat.

During battle, you'll need to read enemy attacks, dodge at the right moment, defend, counterattack, and use different types of attacks to break through enemy defenses.

You can unleash heavy attacks, jumping attacks, combat combos, and more.

You'll also gain access to all kinds of magic:

Lightning.

Fire.

Poison.

Ice.

Magic circles.

Attacks summoned from the sky.

And plenty of other completely unnecessary levels of destruction.

Some powerful enemies won't simply stand there and let you hit them.

They may chase you down, dodge your attacks, defend themselves, or unleash special moves of their own.

When fighting a boss, wildly mashing the attack button usually isn't the best strategy.

Watch their movements.

Look for openings.

Control your distance.

And strike when the opportunity appears.

Of course...

if you're strong enough, you can always grab a frying pan and charge straight in.

Cat Meme Wars isn't interested in telling you what an RPG weapon is supposed to look like.

You'll find plenty of things on the battlefield that absolutely should not be considered weapons.

And yet somehow, they are.

Toy fish, radishes, green onions, frying pans, cooking spatulas, microphones, golf clubs, lollipops, electronic keyboards, toys, chopsticks...

No one ever said a hero had to carry a legendary holy sword.

If it can knock an enemy down, it's a good weapon.

Explore a Fantasy World Full of Cat and Dog Memes

Your adventure won't take place in just one location.

Throughout your journey, you'll travel across different regions and locations, including arenas, Cat City, the Polluted Lands, Dog City, Meme Forest, and strange fantasy areas corrupted by an unknown force.

Each region may feature different enemies, quests, characters, and stories.

Talk to the characters you meet along the way, and you may receive all kinds of quests.

By completing them, you can earn new resources, equipment, and opportunities to grow stronger while gradually discovering what is really happening beneath the absurd surface of this Meme-filled world.

Cat Meme Wars isn't trying to create a completely serious, grim RPG universe.

There are battles.

There is magic.

There are weapons and equipment.

There are bosses.

And yes, there is even a story about a war between cats and dogs.

But at the end of the day, this is still a world ruled by Memes.

Characters may say completely ridiculous things with perfectly serious expressions.

A terrifying enemy may have a face that makes it impossible to take the battle seriously.

And in the middle of what should be an epic fight, someone may suddenly pull out an unbelievably stupid weapon.

That's the idea behind Cat Meme Wars:

the combat and progression of an action RPG, combined with the bizarre, chaotic humor of internet Meme culture.

You can spend your time studying equipment, skills, builds, and combat mechanics.

Or you can simply laugh because a cat holding two green onions is charging directly at a boss.

Here, you can become a powerful Buff Doge.

You can become an Oiia Cat spinning completely out of control.

You can even play as a Nail-Filing Cat that looks like it has absolutely no interest in fighting anyone.

Or perhaps a confused Shy Cat holding nothing but chopsticks and a bowl, with no idea how any of this happened.

Or you can simply sit there and stare at these cat and dog Memes.

A Message from the Developer

Cat Meme Wars is my first indie game. Although I’ve put the game through multiple rounds of testing before release, there are countless PC configurations and gameplay situations, so there may still be bugs or issues that didn’t come up during testing.

If you run into any bugs, visual issues, crashes, or other problems while playing, please feel free to report them on the Steam Community forums. Every report helps me find problems I may have missed and improve the game.

I plan to keep supporting Cat Meme Wars after release by fixing bugs, improving the overall experience, and continuing to make the game better through future updates.
