What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“LumoraVR is still being built, and we'd rather have real people using it and telling us what works than spend years developing in a vacuum. Early Access lets us ship something playable, get honest feedback, and build the platform around what the community actually wants.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 1–2 years, though that could change. We'll be upfront about where things stand as development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Right now the core is there — worlds, multiplayer, and basic building. We plan to work towards a full release that includes a proper avatar system, a world publishing pipeline, events, groups, and moderation tools, alongside a much more polished experience overall. A lot of what we prioritise will be shaped by what Early Access players ask for.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early alpha. You can create and join worlds, edit scenes in real time using the in-world inspector, interact with objects, and customise your avatar. It works, but it's rough — expect bugs, missing features, and things changing as we go.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“LumoraVR is free to play and will stay that way. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“LumoraVR is source avaliable, so the community can directly contribute through GitHub pull requests. If you want a feature built or a bug fixed, you're welcome to submit a PR. Beyond that we'll be active on Discord, posting updates and taking feedback as development moves forward.”
