Overview

"What is death?"

With this question in my heart, I visit a cemetery far from the noise of the city.

There, I am greeted by a woman—the town’s sole gravedigger, a quiet observer of death.

She offers neither affirmation nor denial; she simply speaks.

Why must we die?

What happens after we are gone?

Is eternal life beyond our reach?

Through a dialogue with the gravedigger, I begin to confront the primal anxieties and fears that humanity has carried since the dawn of time.

Character: The Gravekeeper

The caretaker of the town's only cemetery.

Calm, thoughtful, with a deep philosophy on life and death that lingers behind her gentle words.

Because of her profession, the townspeople see her as a symbol of death and keep their distance.

A visual novel about death

The stillness of the cemetery, the presence of the forest, the dim light of a church, the noise of the town—

through shifting scenes, the story explores death from many angles.

And in the end, it leads to a deeper question: Who am I?

There is no absolute answer to death.

The gravekeeper’s view is only her own way of seeing life and mortality—it is not a truth meant for everyone.

Even so, in a society where death has grown distant and hard to see,

it is my hope that this story may offer a quiet moment to reflect on what it means to live a finite life.

a time to sit alone, and let your thoughts slowly sink inward.

Most of the music and photographic assets were sourced from services that permit commercial use.

The background images and character illustrations were then edited using image editing software to achieve a sketch-like style.
