About This Game

Welcome to Froglington, a town where ambition goes to die and the only thing cheaper than hope is lager.

You've just lost your job at the local gravy mine. You’re skint and your rent’s overdue. But fate, or possibly the parish council, has other plans. The local pub darts league is offering a grand prize of £300. Enough to pay off your landlord and save you from destitution.

Battle your way through chain-smoking postmen, semi-professional window cleaners, and the reigning pub champion known only as Big Phil.

Aim high. Win the league. Save yourself from total destitution, one lukewarm pint at a time

Building on the classic darts experience, in Darts RPG you'll be able to live out your fantasy of becoming the best darts player in town, but with a few extra twists. Challenge the other players in town, level up your player to improve your darts skills, and eventually enter the pub league when you think you're ready.

To add to the classic darts experience, we've created a coaster system, similar to a deck-builder. Coasters are playable 'boost' cards to improve your in-game darts, or distract your opponent. Buy them at the local shop, find them around town, or win them in darts matches. You can equip one perma boost coaster per game, aswell as 3 burnable coasters you can play whenever you choose.

Get lost in the town of Froglington, chat to the locals and find out what they're complaining about today, do jobs for local businesses to earn some beer money, or spend your time improving your darts level in the local darts shop. Every character has a story to tell, or a dodgy side hustle you might want to get involved with. During the day, all pubs are closed, so its the perfect opportunity to get to know your neighbours.

Sample the local beer, just don't expect it to be cold. Getting a bit merry is key if you want to find your perfect game, and finding your 'golden' number of pints can be the difference between a win or a loss. Just don't drink too many, or you might not be able to throw straight. Go seek out a kebab if you want to sober up.

Once you're good enough, take part in the local pubs weekly knockout league. Your landlord isn't going to wait forever for his rent money! Just be careful, if you're knocked out, you can't join again until next week. Each pub in town has its own knockout league with varying difficulty, but with increased money and XP gains. Beat all the pubs in town and officially crown yourself as the best player in Froglington!

What Makes Darts RPG Unique?

We wanted Darts RPG to capture the feeling of being a darts player in a pub league, its less regimented than professional darts, there are more outside factors that can influence a game, and of course, there's alot more alcohol involved. Retaining the traditional rules of Darts as a core, players now have more options mid-game to tailor their experience, making each game feel different, not to mention the drunk mechanics where you need to balance your drunk levels to play at your peak levels.

In order to progress as a darts player, you will win games, earn EXP, and unlock more pubs to compete in. Progression will then unlock further towns and regions, accessible by the local train station or bus stop, where you can compete at higher levels, take part in darts leagues and enter local tournaments. EXP does not have a cap, so players can continue to improve their player indefinitely. Our goal is to eventually have an online lobby where you can compete with your mates, and see how you fare against the rest of the world. In addition to this, we'll have a ranked leader board so you truly can become the best player in the world.

Darts RPG will feel alive and fresh, and filled with lots of northern references and puns - and will be a unique addition to the darting game scene.
