Lo que dicen los desarrolladores:

¿Por qué ofreces acceso anticipado?

«We want to develop Dverghold with direct community feedback. The core dungeon crawling mechanics, combat systems, and character progression are going to be functional, but we believe player input on balance, difficulty, and additional content will help us create the best possible game. Early Access allows us to build Dverghold together with the community.»

¿Cuánto tiempo va a estar este juego en acceso anticipado aproximadamente?

«We plan for about 8 and 10 months in Early Access. This timeline may adjust based on community feedback and the scope of improvements we implement, aiming for the full release between Winter 2026 and beginning 2027.»

¿Qué diferencias habrá entre la versión completa y la versión de acceso anticipado?

«Dverghold tells the story of dwarves reclaiming their ancient mountain kingdom level by level. We plan to release content episodically during Early Access, with each major update representing another section of a dwarven kingdom in the mountain wrested back from demonic control:

- Additional environments that descend deeper into Dverghold
- New enemy types, items and challenges for each environemnt
- Expanded character progression
- Expanded story and quests about the kingdom's fall and its reclamation
- Boss encounters guarding key sections of the mountain
- Community-driven features and balance improvements

Each major content update will be a significant story and gameplay milestone. The core gameplay loop and first "Act" is ther at Early Access launch, but the full saga of reclaiming Dverghold will unfold throughout development.»

¿Cuál es el estado actual de la versión de acceso anticipado?

«Early Access launches with Environment I: The Living Quarters. This includes:

- Fully functional dungeon crawling, turn-based combat, and progression systems
- 3 dungeon levels with randomized encounters and loot
- Multiple character classes, enemy types, and tactical challenges
- A hub screen the player returns after each dungeon delve with light base building systems
- Main Quest and some side quests
- Some randomization of the levels for replayability (monster placement/stats, loot)
- Original Dungeon Synth soundtrack by Splendorius

The foundation is complete - now we descend deeper into the mountain together.»

¿El precio del juego será diferente durante y después del acceso anticipado?

«Yes. We plan to gradually raise the price as we add significant content and features during Early Access. The full release version will be priced higher than the current Early Access price to reward our early supporters. We recommend getting the game early if you're interested in the best value.»

¿Cómo tienes planeado involucrar a la comunidad en tu proceso de desarrollo?

«The reclamation of Dverghold is a collaborative effort. We'll involve the community through:

- Steam discussions and Discord for feedback on balance, difficulty, and features
- Regular development updates as "reclamation progress reports"
- Polls and discussions about new character classes, enemies, and mechanics for upcoming Acts
- At a later point, we plan introduce an online component where the players can see how many monsters of certain types have been killed, how much loot has been found etc. by all players together. We intend to use this to influence certain updates.

Each major content Act will be shaped by what we learn from players tackling the levels before it. You're not just playing Early Access - you're helping us chart the path deeper into the mountain.»

Acerca de este juego

When the last great age of civilization was fractured by the earthquakes, a new people rose from the ashes and carved their name upon the world of Hyrdengard, the realm now known as the Shattered Sea. Weathering storms, plague, and ceaseless foes, the Dwarves of DVERGHOLD forged themselves into the unchallenged power of the Sea of Thorns.

The Dwarves' first forays awakened something ancient and hungry in the deep, and the shadows beneath Rekestt began to stir. Weary from a brutal campaign against the mountain trolls, King Sterren the Second now turns to the outside world. His envoys travel across the waters to the prosperous island-city of Presdon, and beyond, seeking any who possess the courage - or desperation - to descend into the dark.

From distant coasts, from battered ships, and from hidden corners of the Shattered Sea, they come: adventurers, wanderers, and vagabonds willing to risk not only their lives but their very souls to stand with DVERGHOLD against the rising dread below Rekestt.

A RETURN TO THE GOLDEN AGE

If you cut your teeth on Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, or Lands of Lore during the Golden Age of CRPGs in the 90s you'll feel right at home navigating treacherous corridors, managing limited resources, and leading your party through the unforgiving depths.

This is old-school dungeon crawling - challenging, atmospheric, and built for those who remember when games didn't hold your hand.

DESCEND INTO THE DEPTHS

🏔️ FIRST-PERSON DUNGEON DELVING

Navigate the haunted depths of Rekestt level by level. Every corner could hide treasure or death. Every step deeper reveals more of what lurks below. Grid-based exploration meets atmospheric tension.

⚔️ TURN-BASED COMBAT

Assemble your party and engage in challenging turn-based battles where positioning and strategy matter. Resources are precious. Enemies are cunning. Choose your fights carefully - sometimes retreat is the wiser choice.

🏗️ BUILD YOUR BASE BETWEEN EXPEDITIONS

Transform your beachhead camp into a fortified stronghold. Recruit new heroes at the fireside, upgrade facilities, manage resources, and prepare for your next delve.

⚔️ DEATH HAS CONSEQUENCES

Will you spend your hard-won resources to reclaim a veteran warrior, or press on with fresh recruits? Every loss matters.

🎲 RANDOMIZED ENCOUNTERS

While the dungeon structure remains consistent, monster spawns and loot distribution change with each expedition. Learn the layout, but never assume you know what awaits around the next corner.

THE ROYAL DECREE

"Let it be known across the Shattered Sea that His Majesty, King of DVERGHOLD, issues a solemn decree to all allies and brave souls of the realm and beyond. The newly claimed island of Rekestt lies besieged, its mines and hollows assailed by unseen and unnameable fiends. Our armies, still blooded from their hard-won victory over the savage mountain trolls, can no longer stand alone against this fresh tide of horror.

Therefore, the Crown calls upon Dwarves, citizens of Presdon, wanderers, sellswords, and seekers of renown to take up arms and descend into the haunted deeps of Rekestt. Those who dare to face the lurking evil may find not only honor, but wealth, glory, and their names etched in the chronicles of DVERGHOLD.

Amnesty and royal provisions shall be granted to all who answer this call.

But steel your will, and bring what gear you may—for the shadows beneath Rekestt show no mercy."

— By order of King Sterren the Second

AN ORIGINAL DUNGEON SYNTH SOUNDTRACK

🎵 Experience a Dungeon Synth soundtrack by renowned Dungeon Synth artists Splendorius and Kurald Galain. Splendorius will even exclusively compose and entire album for Dverghold! Haunting melodies and cozy atmospheric soundscapes accompany your descent.

This isn't just a game soundtrack; it's a full atmospheric album written for the game. Each track captures the essence of the fallen kingdom: melancholy laments of abandoned halls, oppressive silence of ancient vaults, and the corruption that lurks in the DVERGHOLD.

This is THE game for fans of dungeon synth, dark ambient, and atmospheric black metal.
