About This Demo

This is the demo of a meditative 2D arcade roguelike set on a tiny planetoid orbiting a supermassive black hole.

You burst out of a cave teeming with hostile life-forms and head for the station. The caretaker asks you to give his daughter a lift aboard – this short flight is your first taste of the Astra Vortex universe. Along the way you’ll run a time-trial: weave between beacons and try to beat the caretaker’s record while sharpening your piloting skills.

This self-contained mini-story introduces the ship’s controls and the quiet tension of a scientific mission. Ready for more? The full game opens up an expansive world, new regions of the planetoid, and the complete set of researcher assignments.
